Re: Ghana Visitation Assistant by Xpol: 8:39pm On Jul 23, 2023 |
Writterconsulta:Entering Ghana is not hard. Direct may cost around 50k (I don't know the actual amount). ABC, Young shall grow, Chisco, mile2 Ghana park, etc. Halfway: From Lagos 20-30k will take you to Accra if you can go "halfway" meaning >> Badagry >> seme border, cross the border by yourself with leg(the safest) or take okada( some of the okada riders are criminals). If you want to cross by yourself just change like four 200 naira notes with you, you shouldn't spend more than three of it(600 naira) in crossing to Benin. After crossing, change your money to CFA. When changing your money there go to those that have office, the ones sitting by roadside will usually cheat you. You won't spend more than 7000CFA to reach Ghana border (Aflao) so you can just change like 8000CFA coz you may want to buy something on the way. Crossing Aflao border is 30-50 cedis, as jjc I recommend crossing with tricycle coz those okadas are mostly thieves. After crossing, Aflao to Accra is 65 cedis. Anyone who doesn't want to spend much on transportation can use this as a guide and if you need more details you can mention me here to provide more. Like: Taking Aflao direct from seme is more expensive than seme >> Cotonou (tokpa market) >> Aflao. Please be legit with whatever intention you have in going to Ghana. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Writterconsulta:Ok nothing bad in moving to Ghana but let me tell you few things so that you can prepare yourself: Things are more expensive when compared to Nigeria. House rent mostly goes for two years advance payment. Budget 15k per month for single room and porch(the porch serves as kitchen, no toilet and bathroom). You can also get just single room without porch for 10k. 20-30k for single room self contained. Depending on location though but I think those are the cheapest you can get and don't expect them to be standard apartments. Except the self contained, it's very common to see houses there without toilet so be ready to be paying for public toilets outside. Things you can do to quickly pick: Though I don't know your budget but having some skills like shoemaking, phone repair hair dressing, makeup, nail-fixing and pedicure will really help if you have money to rent a shop in a good location and set it up. Also many Nigerians sell phone accessories with baby carts(don't know if that's the correct name) doing that doesn't require big capital they move round the street and one can hardly get stranded with such small business. All in all Ghana is not the ideal japa you can be expecting to become a millionaire within a short time, the only advantage it has over Nigeria is light and let me add security but if your business is moving well then you make more profit than doing same business in Nigeria but you also spend more. 1 Like |

dreaonit:lol reading this scares me as if I'm the one who's going to enter the boat. That's the only mode of transportation I'm not planning of trying any time soon. The 6k is from where to Cotonou 1 Like |

Go to chisco bus terminal in Maza Maza Mile 2 and make enquires, they will tell you all you need to know about traveling to ghana and the amount of money they charge for people that have international passport and for people that don't have because it's not the same amount |

Xpol: Greetings Sir……What about from Lagos to Togo. A friend invited me over there and I got no passport. But I was told I can do without a passport. Please can you give me some guidelines in terms of Cost of transportation & the best Transit company to make it easier for me as a first timer. Thank you plenty |
Re: Ghana Visitation Assistant by Xpol: 9:34pm On Aug 03, 2023 |
OmarEl:you're ok to go without passport and you don't need a good transport company to enter togo. From Lagos(mile2/iyana iba) 10k naira with comfortably take you to Togo. No any fear of being a first timer. 1 Like |

Xpol: Thanks for this info. Please, what if a traveller wants to have his passport stamped in each of the borders, is there any challenge to that? |
Re: Ghana Visitation Assistant by Xpol: 7:48pm On Nov 02, 2023 |
writeprof:No much challenge only that you'll need to have yellow card which you can get at seme border especially if you'll be traveling the route regularly and be stamping your passport each time but you can still stamp your passport without the yellow card only that you'll be paying extra for it every time. 1 Like |

Hello sir. Can you kindly advise on the current cost of transportation using the half way mode. From mile 2 preferably Xpol: |
Re: Ghana Visitation Assistant by Xpol: 8:48pm On Nov 04, 2023 |
sirrotex:With that description I gave, 30k still took someone from Akure to Accra last 2months ago so that same amount should still take you from mile2 to Accra. Another person(a lady) did over Sabi and spent almost 50k, she enter one of those criminal okadas at aflao and he successfully delivered her to immigration officer and she was extorted Budget like 40k for transportation but if you follow that description 30k will safely take you to your destination. Don't mind those Nigeria immigration officers before you reach seme border sometimes they'll be asking questions and want to extort you, only settle when crossing the border, if they ask where you're going, you can say ashipa to meet a friend but if you're with a passport you can answer them anyhow you like. Be a good ambassador anywhere you, go keeping and maintaining a good name and record is golden. |
