Homesexuality: What To Do When The Devil Starts Preaching "Love Your Neighbor"

One of the strategies of the devil is to present the Word of God in a misleading way to suite his agenda.

It is usually his plan B during his temptations, when his plan A to get those he tempts to disobey the Word of God by speaking (lies) against it, doesn't work as it did in the beginning with Adam and Eve.

He also used this strategy while tempting Jesus thinking that just because "it is written", he could still preach it in a misleading way to Jesus to make Him fall into his temptation. Matthew 4:6

Imagine the devil also preaching "it is written" just as Jesus had done that after He was first tempted of the devil. Matthew 4:4.

That alone would have been enough to confuse others, but not Jesus who is the Word of God Himself, hence His being able to immediately detect the wiles of the devil and to puncture them before finally telling him, "get thee behind me, Satan". Matthew 4:7, 10.

So the strategy obviously didn't work for Jesus. In fact, it failed woefully, however it's not surprising that the devil is still using it today in his bid to mislead even Christians who profess to be followers of Christ.

This could be observed in the respect of homosexuality, despite it clearly being a very grievous sin the sight of God. Leviticus 18:22-23, Genesis 13:13, 18:20, 19:4-5.

The devil via his children is preaching "love your neighbor as yourself" to justify such an abominable sin and mislead Christians if possible.

If it's not "love your neighbor as yourself", he's preaching "do not judge", in support of such detestable acts before God.

Now this is the same devil who hates humans more than anything else and doesn't come to man, except it's to steal, kill and destroy his life, so what should that tell you but that he's up to no good but only evil.

Hence whenever he comes preaching "love your neighbor as yourself" or "do not judge" because "it is written", the best response to give to him is the same Jesus did.

Say "get thee behind me, Satan!" In Jesus name!

Homosexuality has nothing to do with the devil. The fact that you people bring religion into it is why it's hard to even combat it. You do not tell people how to live their lives based on your religious tenets.
To tackle homosexuality, you need to bring superior arguments and not "the bible says".
Homosexuality is a combination of genetics and environmental factors, this has been well documented over the years and we substantially understand this.

Religion is like homosexuality, I do not have problems with it as long as you rub it to my face.

To tackle homosexuality, you need to bring superior arguments and not "the bible says".

A thief is someone stealing (i.e. taking another person's property without the owners's consent and/or permission, has no legal right to that property and even has no intention to return the property)

A murderer has unlawfully and not by accident, killed a fellow human being (i.e. snuffed life out of someone and cut their days short)

I wonder how its going to be superiorly argued that a thief or murderer, considering their actions, loves their victim neighbour

By the way, arguments is nothing other than trading, that involves exchanges of ignorance.

(LOVE) does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 1 Corinthians 13:5-6

The LOVE of God will help a believer to do exactly what he wants others to do for him {Matthew 7:12} so if someone is going astray LOVE should move us to REPROVE him not too lenient with such ones! 2Timothy 3:16-17

Since you are all quoting from the Old Law then it becomes equally OK for someone to respond with the second greatest commandment of the same Old Law which is that you love your neighbor as you love your own self.
17 “Don’t secretly hate any of your neighbors. But tell them openly what they have done wrong so that you will not be just as guilty of sin as they are.
18 Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. - Leviticus 19 vs 17 - 18
How quoting that makes the one quoting it a devil in response to a quote from the Old Law is beyond me. undecided

Anyways, in God's New Covenant, Jesus Christ, God instead urged His followers to do to others as they would like to have others to do to you. Is Jesus Christ of the devil? undecided
