I was ready to answer the title of the thread, but saw the post to be a little different.

Quick answer: lack of conversion, peer pressure and the love of "mankind" more than God.

People care (and I mean relentlessly, desperately and deeply care) absolutely MORE about what their fellow man thinks of them than the Creator of all.
People don't want the negative consequences for standing in righteousness. Folks only want the "blesssings".
It's definitely lonely, and isolating to want to sincerely serve the Lord and be obedient to His word against practically a world who despises Him. No one wants to stand out or be ostracized, dogged out, criticized, discriminated against etc.
But if one truly loves the Lord, he/she is compelled to stand for righteousness. It is non-negotiable.

When he/she truly takes that stand, rest assured that levels of persecution/discrimination are around the corner. It will happen. It's easy to claim Christ when one is not experiencing any type of persecution.

Soon enough though, the sheep will be separated from the goats....no one will be able to straddle the fence and claim the Lord yet not have a single evidence of Him in his/her life. Whose side a person is on---be it The Creator God or the enemy of souls--will be revealed soon enough.
It takes absolutely nothing less than a heart totally "sold out" to Christ---no matter what--even till death-- to take a stand for righteousness.

The people you described above have not been fully convicted or converted yet. By God's grace and a willing heart to see the error of their own ways, some will re-commit to Christ.
There's a huge difference between a person who's daily striving to live righteously and who may fall at times....than a person claiming Christ but who deliberately lives a life--actions-- diametrically opposed to Him and His word.

They fail to see that we are at war

That's because they don't fear God. It's clearly written in Matthew, mark, Luke ,John, revelations, even most of Paul's books.

Liars, sexually immoral, adulters, those with lustful thoughts, fearful, unfaithful and lots more would not enter the kingdom of God.


Yes God loves us, he sent his only son to die for our sake that's pure love. But he is also just and cannot stand sin. So we should try our best and also ask the holy spirit to aid us in living a Godly life
