Is it reasonably appropriate for a woman to demand a "legal right to her body" while in a legitimate marriage?

grin
That would be so selfish of her.

I dedicate “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey to all compassionate wives to their husbands. Great jam!

Ada...you are always so so offensive and I think you need to take a chill pill.

You and I know what the issue has been with man and woman in this whole world...man for his money and woman for her body.

So wetin bring women for my side no dey get money...when someone wrote legal right of a woman's body and I asked the same for a man's money?

as much as everyone (even in marriage) have a legal right to their own body, let us remember that marriage is a partnership where you guys become "one"...so technically her body is mine and vice versa in marriage. demanding to have legal right to your body, as if you were single, is a joke... if you want the rights of single people, then DONT GET MARRIED!

BTW you dont have to have legal right to your body to tell your husband that you dont want to cook tonight because you are sick and/or you dont want to have sex because you have a headache. thats just common sense!

OP, do NOT surrender your authority as a man to your wife. I repeat, do NOT abdicate your headship to a potential wife. If she will not accept your authority, leave. If not, it will haunt you.

And you're not the first person to grapple with this. In this video: love, money and control, that was in frontpage last week: both married and single men discuss the headaches that come with marrying a controlling wife.

What you're asking isn't a simple question. It's an issue with lifelong, terrifying consequences.
Do NOT surrender your headship in your marriage to your wife. Don't worry, you'll make the right decisions. Thank me later.

Cheers.
