A banner featuring picture of Nigerian afrobeat singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has been burned by members of the Muslim community in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

The incident occurred following a controversy involving the singer, who had shared a music video of his new signee, Logos Olori.

The video depicted Logos Olori praying and dancing with individuals dressed in Islamic attire in front of a mosque.

As the video circulate online, it drew criticism from numerous Muslims who found it offensive and disrespectful.

They argued that a mosque is a sacred place of worship, not a venue for dancing and entertainment.

In response to the mounting pressure and in an effort to address the concerns raised by the Muslim community, Davido eventually decided to delete the tweet containing the contentious music video.

If christians joke with their religion they should not Force others to do so. Let's respect boundaries, don't trigger other people's belief and cry fowl when they react. It's always christians drawing the first blood first but quick to cry fowl at their reaction. I've never seen Muslims doing such. I'm for the truth
