A short history of religion

What Jews practice is a national tradition similar to what ancient Zoroastrians used to practice but ultimately descended from Egypt. Jesus Christ who was a Jew and a self declared but unrecognized Messiah or prophet for the Jews did not start a religion. He was not even on talking terms with any Gentile talk less of wanting or trying to convert them to any theology or religion and the main person that kicked off Christianity by starting to admit Gentiles into the new sect of Judaism kicked off after the exit of Jesus Christ was Apostle Paul who never met Jesus Christ in person but he may not be the only one. That was the beginning of religion. It was an accident of history. The hitherto Jewish sect was named Christians by Grecian people in Antioch because they were all people of piety and the concept of Christ was a Grecian concept depicting a perfect son of God. The early Christians were pacifists, they were also communists for sharing belongings among themselves and a group much similar to them nowadays are the Jehovah Witnesses. They believed what they were preaching and that is the reason they had some success over the long term and gradually elites of the Roman empire that used to persecute them were being converted to the religion. Christianity is the first theology with an attitude. A know it all as well as a condescending attitude towards fellow human beings. Many of them were martyred for their beliefs but it continued to spread and eventually Emperor Constantine of Rome got converted as a result of winning a war after being prayed for by a Christian leader. Christianity became the religion of Rome and the once pacifist Christians gained ascendancy and transmogrified into the Catholic church. The day of worship was changed to Sunday and the name of the savior changed to Jesus Christ and several European concepts like holidays and etc were added to Christianity to make it European. There were however many Christian sects doing their thing as far south as Iraq, Ethiopia and maybe as far south as Nigeria over centuries. Their leaders in the Roman empire later got together to harmonize their teachings at the council of Nice and agreed that Jesus Christ and the father should be portrayed as one essence and therefore Jesus is God and the Holy spirit is another department of God. Thus was the concept of the trinity berthed but there were still Christian sects in Arab lands out of Roman or Catholic reach that were outside the immediate reach of Rome and one of these would be the one that converted Mohammed to accept the beliefs of Christianity like the prophet status of Jesus Christ as well as his virgin birth as both tales were only being spread by Christians back then. Jews till today do not accept any of the claims. To them, Jesus was born out of wedlock to Pantheras a Roman soldier and he was not a Prophet or messiah but an apostate or heretic for declaring himself King of the Jews, greater than David, Abraham etc and at par with God. Mohammed therefore listened to the Christians and created his own version of Christianity as did the Mormons, the JW and hundreds of others centuries later. There is no difference. They did this because the normal tendency or inbuilt attribute of human beings is to innovate and no threat in any holy book can be able to actually end innovation and reduce human beings to proper zombies. Since then the wild fire of religion has continued spreading not much different from the wild fire of Marxism that sought to end the private ownership of all means of production or even property. The arguments of Marxism however is sounder than the arguments of religion ie Christianity and Islam. Religion did not introduce non idolatrous worship because we have always had non idolators on Earth in every culture but they were not belligerent against polytheists or idolators and etc. The belligerence, mind manipulation, violence, murder, rape, arson, bigotry, hate and etc in the name of God are all innovations of religion. A religion is a bad programming or bad culture similar to a viral attack on a computer. That is the short history of religion and as at July 25 2023 AD, it is still spreading. None of the two religions is more dangerous than the other.

It is just a history of religion so that we know how we got to where we are now. Religion whether organized, disorganized or private is bad for humanity and by religion I mean Christianity and Islam. Other theologies are harmless human traditions
