What they don't know is that in a capitalist country like USA, the largest refinery is Motiva refinery in Texas. Guess who owns it? Saudi Arabia government owns it.

They run a monarchy and not one where every dick,Tom and Harry with low hanging and uninformed opinions like you will do in Nigeria.

Govt can not do business profitably because it is not motivated by profit, it is not because of the textbook definition of business as you learnt in primary and secondary schools. Govt can not be a regulator and competitor and you expect a level playing ground. Govt can have joint venture and other means to get taxes.

Govt has a higher responsibility of providing the enabling environment and regulation then collect taxes. If you want to run business, become an Entrepreneur but if you want to run public offices become a public administrator.

It’s not just Nigeria though. Even in the UK and USA, the government is usually inefficient at running things compared to private companies
