Yesterday at Harbour Point Victoria Island Lagos, I joined the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the House of Representatives, Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Ekiti State Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Acting Governor of Ondo State Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Song Writer and multi-instrumentalist Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye MFR, known professionally as King Sunny Adé, First Class Traditional Rulers and other notable personalities to celebrate with the Senate Leader; Senator (Dr) Opeyemi Bamidele, CON, as he marked his 60th Birthday.

Distinguished Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele is a refined gentleman, Nigerian lawyer and human right activist. Senator Bamidele who is also popularly known as MOB has always championed a progressive Nigeria. He has also shown huge commitment to promote a quality Legislature that Nigerians deserve and since he emerged as the Leader of the Red Chamber, he has never relented in protecting the interest of Nigerians by ensuring that every Senator regardless of political affiliation is carried along in the day to day activities of the upper Chamber.

Distinguished Colleague, as you celebrate your sixty years on earth, may heaven bless you with more wisdom, grace and favour, and may your future be filled with good health.
