Dear ASAPFERG

I have been visiting Nairaland for over fifteen years now, though not as a registered member. As a matter of fact I just registered today.

I am Igbo by tribe. Of course, you would have guessed rightly if you are wondering if your "IGBOS DESERVE NOTHING BUT DEATH. DEATH TO ALL IGBOS" post is one of the reasons why I decided to register in Nairaland today.

Well, I have followed so many posts here, I have read so many posts and the comments that ensured. And I can say that a platform that was established to perhaps engineer a new society through a healthy social interaction among the different ethnic nations that make up the society, has been reduced to a place where chronic hatred is induced.

From the inception of the now deteriorating slurs cum aversion here, i had flippantly shrugged off the tendency that it will degenerate to this all time low - a low that would make a human wish an entire human tribe death.

Still, it felt a rude shock that a good number of Nairalanders liked your post - indicating outright approval to your highly uncharitable wishes.

Dear ASAPFERG, is such what a mere political banter has turned out to be?
Dear Neighbor; what do you know about the history of different tribes that make up the geographical entity that you call Nigeria?

And if you can't categorically answer the above question, why will you wish death to a people that you know little about their history, even on a perceived premise that they are evil?

Dear ASAPFERG, if Igbos are evil today, I guess that was not the case from the time of human creation. I meant that God Almighty did not have it in His mind to create any aspect of human to become evil. Thus if Igbos are evil today, know that sin may have entered to make them evil.

But then, what we need from you is empathy and mercy. I guess you wouldn't wish death to your neighbor because he/she is sick. The reasonable thing to do in such case is to give a helping hand, that's humane!

Likewise, if you consider the entire Igbo race evil, please be humane and give a helping hand. Love us in our weaknesses and inabilities, that would be a true love.

However, I really wonder if all the sins that Igbos are accused of today are only peculiar to Igbos. I have lived the greater part of my life among non Igbos than among Igbos. And I have noticed that every tribe has one form of weakness or another to grapple with.

The strength of social cohesion is therefore hinged on the beauty of Man rather than his ugliness. If what we always see is our weak sides, we are doomed. We must not give the Devi such foothold.

In conclusion, dear ASAPFERG, I wish you a beautiful heart, and a prosperous future. Same to all Yorubas, same to all Hausas, same to every tribe in this entity called Nigeria.

Forgive our aspect that you hate so much, be your brothers keeper. And may my Jesus visit you all and make you have a beautiful heart, Amen.

So someone can also emulate Nnamdi Kanu. Nawa o. ASAPFERG why did you decide to choose Kanu as your role model? Is it his inciting speechless of hatred that attracted you?

What nairaland is today is exactly what seun osewa wants it to be. Leave it for them like that. They claim to have mods who sanitize the forum but these mods encourage those tribal rhetorics by pushing sensitive topics to the FP and completely turning a blind eye towards it. Its what they want. Allow them!
