Yes, there are several passages in the Bible that speak about the duties of the church to the less privileged. Here are a few:

1. James 1:27:
"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." This verse highlights the responsibility of the church to care for the vulnerable members of society, such as orphans and widows. It emphasizes the importance of providing practical support and demonstrating God's love to those in need.

2. Galatians 6:2:
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." The church is called to support and help one another, especially during times of difficulty. By sharing the burdens of the less privileged, the church demonstrates Christ's love and fulfills His commandments.

3. Acts 20:35:
"In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" This verse reminds the church of the importance of actively helping the weak and less privileged. It encourages the church to work diligently and sacrificially to provide for those in need.

4. 1 John 3:17:
"But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?" This verse emphasizes the duty of the church to extend practical help and support to those who are in need. It challenges believers to be compassionate and generous in their actions, reflecting God's love to others.

These passages highlight the church's responsibility to actively engage with and support the less privileged in society. By fulfilling these duties, the church demonstrates God's love, promotes justice, and brings hope to those in need.

This is just part of the fraud,it's not important to point to scriptures that talk about the less privileged. The christian political elites should be light to their non christian counterpart running the country on the need to have a national identity data base that would capture all human beings under social safety net with capital punishment for bypassing it, like the developed nations are doing, these countries are not desperate to kill by hanging but one person's act of corruption kills not one but plenty of lives, so it is better to lose one than thousands to corruption, untill then there is nothing like Christianity in Nigeria. If the Muslims can't push for it they are the light, they should do it. We should stop quoting bible in hell, God cant be so wicked to allow a place like Nigeria where human beings live like non humans, I'm sure hell is not as tortuous as Nigeria, no! God cant be that wicked! You think it's a joke that developed countries criminalized religion? Because the person killing you will come back clapping and shouting hallelujah with you in the church and in the mosque and making fat donations to God from your stolen destiny, that is what we have in Nigeria, you people should stop quoting scripturs everywhere, it's of no use.

Jesus Christ gave those particular commandments to the individual in His Gospel. So you waiting for your church organizations to do what Jesus Christ instead told you to do is against Jesus Christ. undecided

Your church organizations are basically businesses owned and operated by men many have chosen to delegate the mandate given them by Jesus Christ to, and this in itself is against God who never said a man could pass on his duties to another. undecided

The Bible cautions against those who claim to be part of the church but live hypocritical lives or reject the teachings of Christ. It emphasizes the importance of discernment and genuine faith. You dig!?

The Church is not the building, the founder or whatever structure man has put in place kobo..it is a gathering of people who worship God in Spirit and in Truth and best believe the gates of hell shall not prevail.
Becareful as you drift to the other side (by now you know we ain't got live for those).

"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us".
1 John 2:19 KJV

"For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God."
Romans 10:3 KJV

The enemy is not meant to be understood as specific individuals or groups to be hated, but rather as spiritual forces that oppose the work and teachings of Christ.

Please if you choose arguing the subject further I'll advise you check again the response I gave to the other mentioner that blabbed about government and stuff...okay. undecided

True Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) are doing just so!

Jesus commanded his disciples to love their neighbours {Mark 12:31} but most especially their fellow believers! John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:10

At the same time Jesus taught them that the love they have can't eradicate poverty among believers, because there will always be poor ones amongst us {Mark 14:7} but Jesus' first century Jewish disciples failed to grasp what he meant, they tried to eradicate poverty by means of equity {Act 4:34-35} but it all ended in tragedy as they lost a couple in the process! Act 5:1-10

So in what way can the Christians take the best care of their fellow believers in this wicked system of things?

Well what's the greatest NEED of all Christians whether rich or poor?
Jesus made them realized that no matter how poor any of them may be he must have a personal SWORD of his own {Luke 22:26} this is not a literal WEAPON rather it simply means a complete copy of the Bible {Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12} that's the weapon we must used to procure our unity! John 17:17

Go throughout the world today you can't find a member of Jehovah's Witnesses no matter how poor the country each of us have the best quality of SWORD (Bible) smiley

Bible does not say anything like that. Rather, Jesus Christ warned each Individual follower of His against living as the hypocrites do. undecided

The church is not a building or structure yet you all treat it exactly like that, an organization for you to spew your own private rules at. Isn't that interesting? undecided

3. That is a load of hogwash if you ask me since Jesus Christ never said that of the enemy He spoke of. undecided

As a believer I'm indifferent about any one or Church that preaches undiluted doctrines in the Bible. I'm a Christian first and it wouldn't matter what Church you're from except we agree on the tenents of the Bible especially these end times.

Romans 14:4, states:

"Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand."

This verse highlights the idea that individuals should refrain from judging or condemning others who are accountable to a higher authority, in this case, their Master or Lord. The passage emphasizes that it is not our place to judge the actions or decisions of someone else's servant, as they ultimately answer to their own Master.

You're welcome bro.

Thanks.
I would have spoken regarding INDIVIDUALS if the topic says:

Each Individual And The Less Privileged

There will be no reason mentioning a church

But since the topic says:

The Church And The Less Privileged

That's why i mentioned the Church i know where such is been practiced.

Please do enjoy your weekend and may you have PEACE! smiley
