The Shortest Distance To Reach God

It's from right where you are.

You don't have move an inch to get to God.

You don't have to go to that mountain or church building to get closer to God or to worship Him, because God is everywhere and right there where you are. John 4:21-23

All you need to do is to wholeheartedly seek Him from wherever you are right now and you'd find Him.

Jeremiah 29:13

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

I once heard a story about a lady who planned to repent and give her life to Christ when she got to a church meeting but died on her way there.

It was really sad that she didn't know she didn't need to get there or anywhere else to be able to do so, hence If that truly made her miss heaven, it would be so heartbreaking because she only perished out of ignorance. Hosea 4:6

God is not man that she would have to leave where she is to get be able to get to God.

God is everywhere, so all she should needed to do if she was sincere was to repent and seek God with all of her heart from wherever she was, and heaven would bear witness of her repentance and rejoice that a lost soul had been won into God's kingdom.

That's why it's very important to correct the profoundly misleading notion, that one has to get into a church building or anywhere else to be able to get to God, because otherwise people would keep making such mistakes that could prove eternally costly.

Moreover this issue was also addressed by Christ Himself.

John 4:21 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

John 4:23 (KJV)

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

So such errors were avoidable if we followed the teachings of Christ.
