Things are happening

We all know times are hard, everyone is struggling to survive and stealing, causing another hurt is devilish and painful.

A friend just called me this morning sounding suc.idal. I have tried to talk to her to calm her down and together we will proffer a solution. This is her story

According to her she boarded a Bus from plaza heading to nwaniba. She said there were 4 people in the bus 2 at the back, 1 behind the driver and the other in front and she sat close to the door. Just moving from plaza around de choice someone else joined and sat beside her. Putting her in the middle.

She said the bus driver asked if there’s anyone that would alight before Utang street that he wants to use barracks rd. Everyone said they would be dropping after. She didn’t have any fear because there was a woman in the bus.

Just after Oliver twest the lady said she felt an object on her neck when she turned the guy pointed a gun at her asking for her phone.

She gave the phone and they asked for her password which she did. They opened the phone and went straight to play store to download Fairmoney loan app. Unfortunately she had used the app before and paid the loan. So they didn’t need to download

They opened the app and she was eligible to receive a loan of 650k. These people applied for the loan and the loan came in less than 5mins. The loan got to her account they opened her app and asked for her password. They transferred the loan and the money she had In her account which was about 120k to another account. So they moved a total of 770k from her account.

By this time they had gotten to fire service at brooks street and they pushed her out throwing out her bag and phone.

She’s left to pay a loan of over 950k. She got to the bank to see if they can track them. Only to realize that it was an opay account opened without bvn. So those idi.ots cannot be tracked. Though the name on the account is mallam sahid.

According to her this happened around 8pm. This is so heart breaking. Like she has to pay about 165k a month. I don’t know what to say or do. She wants to commit sui.cide so they (the loan ) can’t access her. According to her she’ll dispose her phone and di.e.

This isn’t a palatable news this season. Please be careful out there.

An opay account without bvn can only receive 50k per day.
So there is no way all that amount can go to opay account without bvn

I believed the opay account number is still in tier 1 cos no BVN number was attached to it

So, there is no way the thieves can move all the 770k at once, I'll advice your friend to chat opay CC up or immediately visit their nearest office to block the account

The robbers can only move 50k per day since the account is in tier 1

OP, even wen I think ur story is plausible and touching.... But I think of sth else.

U're rather promotion a brand. Fairmobey.
@applying for a huge sum and it landed under 5mins.

Meanwhile, loan apps don't give u huge sums of money just because u demanded for it. Dey make sure U're credit worthy. And must've done biz with dem over n over of likely sum which actually appreciates.

1. An opay account without BVN can't receive such amount. Tell your bank to check well, best to go with a police officer after reporting the case

2. If it turns out that it was indeed an opay tier 1 account without BVN and still was allowed to receive and withdraw such amount, then your friend might just be about to become very rich from suing opay.

CBN had instructed all banks to close all accounts without bvn. If Opay has refused to close an account without bvn, and they've used the account to receive stolen funds, then they will be held responsible. The lady should write to Opay and demand for the account holder's bvn. She should copy to CBN, EFCC and all the relevant bodies.

Her story is not real. No tier 1 account can receive such amount even OPAY tier 2 account can't receive such.

Also fairmoney pays directly to your fairmoney account on the app so money doesn't land straight to your account from fairmoney instead it goes to fairmoney account, it's from there you transfer to any account of your choice.
The story is cooked up
