Tinubu might be over throne by northern officers if Nigeria dares go to war
Then we divide the country let everyone go their separate ways.

You play a game of dice with someone else and not a game of die.
That's my point. It's alarming that a lot of you could not see the glaring error.

My dear stop making a fool of yourself and accept that you made a mistake. Haven't you heard of the game called "Single Die Gambling"? Or "Single Die Craps"? These are games of die because one die is used. A game of dice = two or more dice. A game of die = one die.

The other day,it was war on Niger is war on Northern Nigeria.
Today is Tinubu is playing die with the north.

You talk of the impact of war on Northern Nigeria should there be any in Niger.
Cry me a river!
So what do you want me from S/S to do?
Beg Tinubu/ECOWAS not to take military action against the coup plotters in Niger just for northern Nigeria sake?
You guys are not serious!
Where were the north when Nigeria/ECOMOG/AU have been going to war in places like Liberia,Congo, Somalia, Ivory coast,Satome n Princepe?

In fact, what did the north do when we were crying looking for support in 2002 when a Yoruba man carry our ancestral land with rich mineral resources and seafoods and sell to France in the name of Cameroun?
Did you people in the north come to our aid?

Now, another Yoruba man wants to go and play the same Big Brother Africa game in Niger (to serve France interest, according to you), you are crying begging for support .

We won't give you people any support.
Any of our senators that tries to do otherwise for your selfish interest will face serious critism from us back home.

Your own suffering for "France interest" nah im go pass our suffering for the same "France interest" for the past 20years?

I no dey support Tinubu policy expecially removal of subsidy without building refineries first.
But you this one,I bin support diplomacy first but since una started this North this , north that bruhaha like say na only una get this country,I dey de man back Gon gon make him invade Niger and restore democracy and una no go do am naathiiingggg.

Angelfrost:
If he invades, he has fvcked up (The North will collectively rise against him)... If he doesn't invade, he has fvcked up (He will look weak).

Mr. President is in an unenviable position/dilemma right now.

This is why he should never have been hasty to react to the whole Coup issue... He should have simply sat back and observed a bit. Life should not always be gra gra.

Same thing with some of the 'great' policies since he assumed office... So much haste, so little planning and almost zero foresight and feasibility.

Why is he always in a hurry to act and react??! Who exactly is he trying to please??! Certainly not most Nigerians.

He needs to watch it... Seriously.

The answer stares everyone in the face. Of course he knew how he was announced and no matter how one pretends to the public, one can't pretend to oneself. The obvious answer is that he wants to impress the majority who never voted him, that's the simple truth.

Tinubu is like, "look Nigerians especially our young minds, I am more capable than Obi and I want to prove it for you even before the tribunal's report".

And so we have it, ill-advised moves all over the place, hope it doesn't backfire on everyone who made their innocent choice from day one

I really don't blame or envy the president right now. Anyone seeing the bigger picture with the privileged information he has would most likely have done almost the same if not the same thing. Could it have been handled better ? Maybe but one thing we shouldn't forget is that there's big trouble at our northern doorsteps and we have to be ready to confront it
Big problem?
Why don't Tinubu leave Niger alone and face his wahala in Nigeria?
A Coup happened in Niger and so frickin what?!
What exactly is our headache with that?

See, the topic is a metaphor. A wrongly placed one. It means tinubu and the north are playing dice grin

The interviewee should have used a better metaphor to clearly denote his meaning, for instance.

"Tinubu is using the north to play dice". grin That's my quarrell with the totology. You can't say tinubu is playing dice with someone and expect it to mean he is using them to gamble. grin the difference is clear

Ignorance they say is bliss. Shey you get my drift now?

Can you go and buy the brighter grammar from iya nsikak now? grin

Who be this illiterate? Is the threatened war between Tinubu against the north or Tinubu against Niger Republic? You and your English teacher na olodo....Chai.

Abeg go back to school asap.

The North that voted for Tinubu to teach some other Nigerians lesson is now complaining,? Hehehe. In 2015 they still voted for Buhari to teach the same set of Nigerians lessons. At the end of the day, the North is always at the receiving end of bad leaders they impose on Nigerians at the Federal level while those of other Nigerians they purport they want to teach lesson have PhD in not only surviving but also thriving in the most difficult socio-economic environment. Lessons to be learnt indeed.

Why not allow Niger to choose what's best for them. If they're okay with military rule, then so be it.

All this economy try be error is hitting the north badly, their people are 80 percent poor. With increase in school fees no northern children will be going to school again.

You're right now. Too much ambition can be dangerous

I think ecowas should not make president less than one year on the sit their chairman

So the president can familiarize himself with lots of things

Tinubu was just barely 2 months into the his tenure when he was made ECOWAS

@MASTAkiLLAh, it's a dilemma Nigeria has to face and deal with squarely. We can't shy away from it.

The writer is obviously pro-north. It smacks of his bias for the north.

Yesterday, someone posited that a counter coup could happen in Niger. I found it very interesting. Now, if that happens and Niger is plunged into deep political crisis, creating a humanitarian crisis with the movement of refugees, where do we think they would naturally to turn? Nigeria, of course.
Can we now see how it concerns us. We cannot simply stay aloof.

The comparison he drew with Margaret Thatcher and Tinubu is fundamentally flawed. Thatcher was already on her first term, with waning popularity, while Tinubu is just starting his tenure.

Thatcher was trying to save her tenure and win another term. Tinubu is a man getting to work as the head of a regional bloc with zero tolerance for political banditry.

People also forget that Africa is the centrepiece of Nigeria's foreign policy.

If Nigeria stands aloof, as many ill-educated and ill-informed want, Africa will be seized by internal and external deviants.
Seized by internal deviants? Thought we already had - by a drug lord
