Ahead of the 2023 edition of the Annual Wakajeje, the Ipokia Youth Forum, IPYF, has solicited the support and collaboration of the Nigeria Customs Service, towards a successful and Smooth and Successful Celebration.


The Chairman of the group, comrade Mawutin Imoleayo Deji made the call when he led other executive members on a visit to Idi iroko command of Customs.

The delegation was received by the Public Relations Officer, Ogun state Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hammed Oloyede.

comrade Deji who was represented by the Diaspora chairman, Comrade Olateju Aliu said the of the team was to intimate Men and Officers of the command of the forthcoming the 2023 edition of the wakajeje.

He said a symposium with theme “Danger of Smuggling and Petrol hoarding in Ipokia local government” was carefully chosen to enlighten youths and residents on the need to embrace legitimate businesses with the hope that the present administration in country would meet the yearnings of the people and address the increasing poverty rate in the land.

Comrade Olateju who said the step was part of the group's contributions to nip all forms illegal trading in the bud noted that the two day event to be held on 1st and 2nd of October, 2023 will feature walk round through some parts of the local government and other programs as proposed.

In a remark, representative of Nigeria Ogunesan CA Commended the IPYF for the initiative which has continued to stand the test of time , and there by promised them that the NCS will give them a positive response.

The 2023 Wakajeje will be attended by people of timber and calibres within and house the local government.
