⭕Says Nigeriens are happy and that's their democracy.

⭕Says theirs no much difference between civilian leaders in West Africa and Military juntas as military juntas only change clothes.

Shebi it was the white man that defined democracy as “government of the people by the people and for the people”?

If the people are happy with the coup leaders, that’s democracy.

As long as the supporters of the junta are in the “majority”, that’s democracy and no idiot should question it.

Hopefully, US, UK and France will stop imposing their unpopular puppets on African Countries if they don’t want coups.

I still carry one eye dey look Cameroun.

By what yardstick please.

You humans and human worshipping. Only naive people think thesedays. The whole Bigerien issue is giving legitimacy to different people across the continent to topple heads and rebel against leadership. If it were his church, would he make such statement.

Th wisest action any so called wise person ought to do is to maintain silence. Publicly declaring such a back handed support will create chaos across the continent. Watch how over the next two years from Sierria Leone to Senegal to Chad to Guinea to Gambia begin to see this as a new normal and begin to topple their leaders giving vain excuses.

We should learn the act of not talking all the time and sometimes leave silence and process of time to appropriate issues

There are many forms of democracy from consensus, direct, deliberative, representative democracy etc. The form of democracy practiced in most African states in representative or liberal democracy based on choosing a representative. This type of democracy does not work for poor nations as it only attracts thieves and vagabonds who firstly lie their way into power then use this period in power to loot the treasury as there is no other way or recourse for their removal before the end of their tenure of between 4-5 years. And in some cases they rigg their way to another term. This is why the military is needed to restore law and order in this interim period to stop the looting, this is unconstitutional but a necessity when a state is a comatose state. Africa needs to look at other types of democracies that are in line with its values and culture. For example China chose its own democratic path and
uses a different democracy called socialist consultative democracy, some believe Chinese form of gvt is authoritarian. However in a consultative democracy the people are consulted continuously on key issues and their votes at local level on these issues are sent up the line to be effected by the executive wing of government. So the government is always accountable to the peoples desires. The Chinese model certainly has its problems such as unelected leaders at the national level etc but it's working for them and it's of their own choosing. The greatest form of freedom for any nation is the ability to chart their own path, there will be problems but it shows resilience, maturity and growth. If African states want respect they need to grow up, chart their own destiny it's been 60 years now, the spoon feeding needs to stop. . And Africans need to understand that democratic governments are accountable to the people not the other way round.
