If you do not have a family member who is an EU citizen/Dutch, or a job offer with full sponsorship from a Dutch company, then I can tell you for free that it is close to 100% impossible to move to the Netherlands.

Even if you come as a student, your residence permit is temporary in nature, and you are expected to return after your studies.

The Netherlands actually does not want people in their country, and the country has one of the toughest immigration policies in Europe, but will you blame them? The country is really small and is the most densely populated country in Europe.

For example, Yobe state is bigger than the Netherlands, and there are at least five other states in Nigeria that are bigger than Yobe. The Netherlands desperately needed space, so they had to reclaim lands from the sea, to create a new province (the province of Flevoland), so they could house more people.

It's normal to see people (especially Africans) who have lived in the Netherlands for at least a decade and are still illegal. If you go to Bilmer Arena in Amsterdam, a lot of them are there.

Sorry mate. It was intentionally designed that way. The Netherlands do not want immigrant in their country.

Yes, its called zoekjaar (search year). Most students search but won't find any, and they go back home, or they leave the country to somewhere else.

And yes, it's very expensive to study in the Netherlands. If I see international students paying heavily to study here, especially Africans, I just know they are forking wealthy.

Even Dutch citizens won't be able to afford to study if not for government support. Dutch and EU citizens pay a statutory tuition fee that is different from international students, about 2k annually. International students pay 10k upward.

And for Dutch students who can't pay, the government pays it for them. If not, most won't be able to study. It is a very expensive place.

Me I can't study where I won't be assured of staying once I finish. It's a waste of money. If the law isn't 99 percent guaranteed, count me out grin cheesy

It is but more expensive and you aren't allowed to work for the first six months you are there. When you are allowed to work you can only work 15 hours a week. After your studies you have six months to find a job and the government makes it impossible by only releasing 4500 work visas yearly. It's literally impossible to stay back even if you marry a swiss woman which I don't know how possible it might be you will still need to stay there for 5 years married to get permanent residency. Without marriage, permanent residency is ten years.

But if I can enter the country will I be safe from police?

Racial profiling is illegal in the Netherlands. So no police will stop you just because you look black, or from Oshogbo. After all, a sizable portion of their populations are blacks.

But, but, there is a catch.... The police are smarter. They normally will just do random search in a bus station for example, especially if you're travelling out/into the country. They will search even white people.

That's how they catch illegal immigrants. Then you won't accuse them of searching just you.

Netherlands is kingdom that consist of four different countries, with the other three in the Carribeans that are majority ethnic Africans. So being black is normal

They will later release you if they catch you, because they won't bear the financial burden of deportation, but only if they check the system and saw that you're not a wanted criminal.

But try to be legal. Life as an illegal is like being a tree. You're in the country but can't do anything. You'll be exploited from every corner that you'll easily become a misanthrope.

If you want to experience human wickedness promax, then put yourself in a position where you're in need of everyone's help. You'll be treated like shit, that even being looked at will be uplifting to your soul.

Talk to your street beggars, they'll show you a side of humanity you've never experienced, and I hope you don't experience it. People have to see you to assist you, but if you're illegal, you're invincible.

you dont have the skills to get a job offer there ( a friend’s wife got a tech job there, she was into tech in a big company in Nigeria), you dont want to try study visa, you dont have a wife with their citizenship or residency. So how do you want to do it?? 🤡

Na for Instagram I know say Suriname is a black dominated country. I saw the flag during one Afro-festival and had to ask. Guyana I knew, but not Suriname. To think both countries are contiguous to each other. A pet dream is touring black dominated countries/regions/cities outside Africa, except Haiti grin

Most of the Caribbean countries are black. For example, what people know as France is officially called Metropolitan France, or European France. France, just like The Netherlands, is a conglomeration of non-contiguous territories.

For example, if you are born in Guadeloupe, or in French Guyana (bordering Brazil), then you are a French citizen. People there are black like Africans, with no difference except culture.

Those black communities in the Caribbean that are part of EU countries are sweet to live in. Sunshine, good food, a strong passport, and huge space, with the opportunity to just move to Europe if one so wishes.

Between France, Netherlands, Germany and Italy, which one do you think an illegal immigrant won't really face deportation? As in the one that don't really deport people anyhow? Someone said France, another person said Italy. So i am not sure.

France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

You can live there for a thousand years and no one cares if you do not commit a crime. These countries have a huge African population that are citizens, so no one will stop you
.
That doesn't mean life would be easy though.

For example, you will always live in a room, because no housing agency will rent a house for you. Legal residency is like the mark of the beast, 666, without it, you are invincible in the system.

You can only relate with the system through a proxy, not directly. So working with someone's paper, renting a room in someone's house, using someone's bus ticket, their bank account, and of course, dealing with all the wickedness that comes from it.

Do you want that?

The surest way to be a misanthrope (a hatred for humanity) is to be at the mercy of the public. You will experience so much pain that you will lose faith in humanity. I advise you not to go live illegally.

But yeah, these countries won't notice your presence, and its illegal to racially profile someone, but life will be difficult.

I like your submission. But what I think the poster want is if it is possible to change the status of his visa to the one he can use to hustle or work.

Is there anything he can do to effect the change?

Can he get a job or enrol in an academic program with his business visa?
