■ You have no sense. You take your own cross and carry it. She has married the man na, if you cannot manage him the way he is, why not leave the marriage. Why the begging?
I no blame you at all. Na the status quo for Nigeria I blame. undecided

You still do not get it, and you are talking from the men perspective , let me ask you this, if your siater is married to a man that beats her often, and she has reported to his family, reported to his friends but the man still continue , what do you expect her to do, stay there and die right? Arrest is different from report, when you report your partner for abuse, police will not come to arrest him, they will invite him over, they come to arrest when the man is proving stubborn to come ,

And in that case it is no longer the fault of the woman, but his fault for refusing to honour police call.

And I said in.my first write up, that there is a family unit where disputes are settled in all police stations, it is done peacefully. They will only be harsh if the man is stubborn,

So what do you expect .

You men always look at your ego without looking at your attitude and the damage it is doing to the woman.

White ladies call the cops every seconds and the marriage still continues , so what stops a Nigerian woman from calling the cops when her life is in danger?

You want her to fight back, or send boys to beat the.man, maybe kill the man, and end in prison?

The man is forming vex because she is in the house with him, felling bad for doing the right thing. Let her ignore him, focus on her self, and the man will realize she dis the right thing to save her self.

Marriage is two forgiver living together , if she is always forgiving him for beating her, why can he forgive her.

In marriage two parties must offend themselves and also learn to forgive, have a communication for such not to happened again, and move on.

This your comment is really unfair...

This has nothing to do with his financial status.. for two years i tried everything within my strength to make him not feel like he was jobless.. at a point i connected him to a job but he turned it down cos he feels that position is too low for him..

But thanks for your contributions
Your story is one sided abeg, predictably, women like you portray themselves as good and their husbands as evil, all because he is jobless! We want to listen to your husband's side of the story, Please Post your husband's contact details, so we can invite him to come online and your post...
Not everyone on Nairaland is stupid!
