Southeast is truly under attack, not by criminals but by state. They magnify the problems in the southeast while they ignore other worst hit part of the country.

They are trying too hard to make the southeast look bad and that's why I suspect that people outside the southeast may be responsible for the troubles in the south east

Then I think the we should checkmate the heavy deploy of Military in the south east zone then if this stat is true.

On a sincere note, I was expecting south east to be the highest.

But na SE people de come kidnap for SW

Brendaniel:
So the south west has a higher rate of kidnap than the south east, in fact if you go by region the south east has the least rate of kidnap, but you see these ronu people they always try to make it look as if the south east is the most unsafe region in Nigeria, they begin to compare the south east with the north, their hypocrisy stinks, they will come and say why are Igbos leaving the south east, naturally Igbos travel to other places to explore, that is why they say if you go to any place and you don't see an Igbo man, run away from there...

South west - 168

South east - 154

What is wrong in harbouring hate for the SE ? Does the SE harbour love for the SW ?

South West habors intense hatred for the South East, so that shouldn't surprise you.

If as small as the whole of South East is, and we have such a high number then. There is a very big problem.
This one has started shifting the goal post. What is the population of the East vs the Kidnapp? less than 0.000000%

You see you Tinubi supporters, you people are not detailed, the statistics here is from July 2022 to June 2023, and the result for that period is what the numbers are showing, post a link of any kidnap in the same one year period that proves Igbos kidnapped any of 168 people kidnapped in the south west....

This report is not true because, we in Kebbi South, Wasagu/Danko LGA precisely, the number of people kidnapped are more than Hundred but the report said, only 39. Let us always report what is true and if one can't report the accurate information, one should keep quiet.

Looking at that data just makes my blood boil! This is the Nigeria these evil and incompetent bastards have bequethed to us....and from the look of things, the insecurity isn't abating anytime soon! With all their empty talk of restructuring, you'd have thought they would have devolved policing to the states or regions by now so everyone can protect their turf.....yet no one is even talking about it!

When i desire Ndigbo to leave Nigeria, this intractable and growing spate of insecurity is just one reason out of many!

Both the Nigerian mainstream media and social media tend to focus on one particular region and ignore the rest.

Enough is enough.
If we are to go by the every Monday kidnapping going on in that region, don't you think the region deserves the mainstream media and social media focus?

So the South wasted region, has the highest number of kidnapping cases more than the SE? This will be the same trend when you decide to actually fact check all the propaganda that they push out constantly against other regions especially the SE.

It's so shameless that the poverty central of SOUTHERN NIGERIA (SW) habours the most insecure people the in that country, who base their foolish existence on cowardice and fake Propaganda.

It's Good these FACTs are now in the open....as it's now obvious , even to the blind, deaf and even dumb, that the SW is worthless...spits cool

They even dwarfed the real number of kidnapped cases in some states. Imagine Ogun that is the capital of ritualist related killings is only a mere 13.

What drives kidnapping is greed and not the size of the community.

Safe to say Lagos is the safest state when you factor in population.
