Why should you calling someone idiot surprise me? Does that hurt more than being an ingrate. Someone that once fed u is celebrating, instead of you to wish him well you are here displaying a show of shame yet u could not answer any of my questions.

May God have mercy on you.
Oga I do not owe you an answer to any stupid question. Mind your business or if you do not have one tell me so I can give you one. Thank you and have a great day. cool

Na una invent yam. 😂

New yam festival is not indigenous to you. Even Yorubas celebrate new yam festival but we don’t call it new yam festival.

We call it Odun Ijesu. Go and find out.
But we never considered it as an indigenous festival when we have several others

Una no get history walahi.
When Yorubas were evolving and having empires, your ancestors were still bush dwellers and living like scavengers

No body said we invented yam I was trying to give you the clown costume you have been begging for
Igbos have wonderful yam game I gave you a variety of the Igbo yam

Let me add two more varieties to that list

We have ji Edele ( yellow yam) we have ji abana( water yam) smiley

🤡🤡🤡🤡 Don see evidence start rubbish we call it ịwa ji , iri ji , iwaji ọhụrụ or iri iji ọhụrụ even before whites came ịwa ji is deeply rooted in our culture we call our Yam bans ỌBÁ. In the past A man is ranked based on how many ŃNÚ ji he has in his ọbá 1 nnu ji is equivalent to 400 tubers of yam you need to have up to narị (100) ńnú ji that's about 40k yams before you're considered an eze-ji in my side which is a title given to someone who breaks that record grin the fact that you don't know about people's culture because you don't travel doesn't mean they're not there .like I said you're an ignorant isese swine 🐖🐷🐷

Tell me how many varieties of yam you people have tell me Thier names that's how we know who's more grounded in the yam game grin oga don dey quote oyo kindoom 🤡

Fulani conquered clown telling me about history

what monument do you people have ?

We have the nsude pyramids

We have Igbo-ukwu bronze arts

We even wrote and read in nsibidi and Akagu writings for ages

Clowns earn money you're being one for free

But my question is, how is yam part of ibo culture?, did ibos discover yam?, is there no ibo word for yam?, why not use your indigenous language for the festival rather than English.[/quote

MEEVEET:

We speak English as official language oga.. We don't force people to speak our language we make it easy for everyone to understand

Rest

Patuke is the stupidest person in this thread and is still making more sense than you. Igbo people have an annoying habit of forcing English into everything and it looks foolish. If you cannot see how much of an insult it is to ourselves, let an outsider come with a mirror. Anyi na e kwu maka omenala I na e kwu maka official language. Even the Oga you're using is Yoruba, but if a Yoruba person comes to tell you, you will be insulted.

Meanwhile you will never find an English man calling his own yam Ji, or a Yoruba person calling his Oga his Onyeisi,

For the record, Ji (yams) were first domesticated by Igbos around 5000 BC

Going by your infantile statement, Igbos came from northeast Africa, are they today Egyptians, Sudanese or camerooians?
Who are the modern day onitsha people?
History has it that the progenitors of my town came from different places in eastern Nigeria and agreed to settle and form the modern day county in Anambra south. But today what are we? Language, culture, traditions, customs and sociopolitical affiliation.
Can you say Americans of today are Indians or Japanese Chinese or Zimbabwean ghanians or even say madagascarns are Indonesians.
