How To Wean Nigeria Off Fuel Import by Mom007(f): 7:47am On Aug 25, 2023 |
As long as Nigeria continues to import fuel it can never experience true economic growth and the naira will continue to crash against the dollar. At this point, Nigeria has no excuse for her continued dependence on fuel imports and the sooner we get our act right, the better. We need to stop waiting for dangote refinery whi h as far as I am concerned is a huge white elephant but start small. There are men in the creeks of Niger delta who have been refining crude oil in barrels and metal tanks for years, they have more experience than the so called dangote and they are willing. why can't the government use the money they claim to have saved to recruit these folks, train them and standardise their operations so that we can gradually wean ourselves off fuel imports? We need to start somewhere and grow from there else we will continue to watch the country and economy slide and gallop downwards with no solution in sight. My 2cents anyway.. 1 Like |
