Still carrying on with the engagement as regards the recent robbery attack at the Rivers State University, the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on student affairs Hon. Nyanabo Maxwell Soye summon a crucial meeting yesterday with the Presidents of the Student Union Governments, Chapter Presidents of the National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), and Ethnic Bloc Administrators of the State.

During the meeting, the student leaders put forth precious suggestions regarding security measures on their respective campuses to bolster security efforts.

It is evident from this assembly that the students of Rivers State are committed to ensuring the safety and security of their campuses. As the government of
Sir. Siminalayi Joseph Fubara, is equally dedicated to supporting these efforts and fostering an environment where learning can flourish without fear and the gathering reaffirms the shared commitment to peace, security, and the well-being of students across Rivers State. We will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to implement the recommended security measures and resolve outstanding issues within the Student Community.
