Jesus is the promised Messiah (Christ) God told the Israelites through Moses will come as the messenger of the New Covenant {Deuteronomy 18:18} just as Moses was a God in their midst {Exodus 7:1} Jesus will also prove to be a God in their midst {Isaiah 9:6} but there is a huge difference between the two, while Moses is an imperfect descendant of Adam Jesus' existence started long before the creation of all other things {Colossians 1:15-16} that's why the gospel writer John under inspiration said Jesus was with God in the beginning! John 1:2 compare to Proverbs 8:22-31

God promised to solve all the problems facing mankind through the kingship of Jesus Christ {Isaiah 9:6-7} so when Jesus walked the earth he wanted to confirm that he is truly the promised Messiah (Christ/Saviour) that's why he empowered his disciples to go performing the same miracles he was performing using his name! Matthew 10:1
