My neighbors has been treating her daughter has been suffering from mental illness at home. According to her, the hospital asked them to pay N250,000 before they will her admit her.

This girl had graduated from school and done her NYSC. She fell ill after having a child out of wedlock for an irresponsible man, the man forcefully taking the little child away, and many other things that ensued.

Anyway, some days ago, one woman recommended they take the girl to her church, that her pastor has successfully healed mental patients. My neighbor agreed to take the girl to the said church today.

When they met the pastor at the end of the service, the pastor refused to accept them. According to the pastor, most of the mentally ill people he has prayed for, after they recover, they and their family would go back to their previous church and not convert to become a member of his church.

So unless the family convert to become members of his church, he will not attend to their daughter. The thing is that, the father of the girl, the old man is a retired branch pastor of a popular church in Nigeria. So they are core members of the church and it's impossible for them to leave it. They brought the girl back home disappointed.

Was the pastor right to make such a decision?

I think from your narration the lady in question doesn't need a pastor to gain her sanity but a qualify psychiatrist.

Taking her to a church may not help her because her case is not spiritual but physical.

I wish the father can see how he can cajole her boyfriend so they can come together, believe me she will be alright. Let her see her boyfriend and the child, it will heal her.

Back to the pastor, I won't blame him per say because there used to be a cherubum and seraphum pastor in my hood too, the pastor specialized in treating mad people, and once they're fine they cannot go again they will remain his church member.

At the bolded, the said pastor is just a hustler hustling for more members ___I don't need to tell you the benefits of this.
The parents of the girl have a choice to make; give the pastor a chance of restoring their child's sanity by converting or stick to their dogma.
It's very simple, everything no be fight.

It appears so because of a wrong choice of words on my part as the narrator. I have corrected it.

That pastor is a crook.

The lady should be taken to a government owned neuropsychiatric hospital and her father go meet with the leadership of the church he did pastor to assist with some funds.

The anointing is free and shouldn't be used as a bargaining merchandise.
