I have noticed much have not been said about this American brand in this arena. A little break from japanese brands for now, i am considering getting either chevrolet Aveo(sedan) or Chev. kalos(suv) 06-07. Gurus in the house, whats is your take about this brand in terms of reliability and efficiency? Any issues/maintenance tips?

Did you read about the poor safety crash score of the Aveo and Kalos?
If you're also okay with its poor handling and noisy engine then go for it.

It's been used as taxi in Abuja.

The Aveo has been reliable as my sister has been using hers more than a year and gives it to kazeem to fix for her and he does a pretty good job at it.

But I don't like the car, it is extremely bland, feels underpowered too and it is not a vehicle for water/flood prone areas. Do not wade in water half inch of the tire, your engine may get hydro locked or gulp in water enough to stall it. The air intake was placed directly over the front passenger tire a very crazy nOt crazy but devilish design
