Reasons Why You Shouldn't Consider Staying In Nigeria. by Gbadebo19(m): 5:27pm On Aug 28, 2023 |
In response to a thread stating why reasons why people should not consider traveling to the UK right now here: https://www.nairaland.com/7819290/5-reasons-why-shouldnt-come/ I will like to create this thread to admonish anybody who has the means to leave Nigerian to please leave immediately. If you have to borrow the money to leave, please leave. Seems like some people are living in a particularly different Nigeria from the one others are living in. Be that as it may, the following are the reasons why I think anybody who is opportuned to leave Nigeria should not think twice before leaving. Even if it is by being smuggled in a ghana must go bag, please leave Nigeria. Even if is by hanging as a stowaway, please leave without thinking. Feel free to add yours too. 1. In Nigeria, you stand the risk of having your life cut short at any time without expectation: Should we talk about bandits that are controlling over 20 local governments in some states or the relentless sit at homes occurring every monday in other parts or the ritualists that can take anybody's life without warning? In fact, people have no believe in the government's ability to provide security which is the basic duty of the government to its citizens. Whatever you will go through in the UK, mental depression or whatever name it is called is still way way better than 6 feets underground. 2. In Nigeria, there is no hope of where your next meal will come from: The exorbitant rise in prices in Nigeria is sine qua non to anywhere else. It is mind boggling how a reasonable government expects citizens to survive on a monthly pay that isn't capable of buying up to 50 litres of fuel. The not very funny part is that it is not only the minimum wage earners that are feeling the heat, even the people in at least the lowest director roles are feeling the heat. 3. In Nigeria, nobody cares: In the so called UK, you might give arguments of people minding their businesses and not caring but at least, you can still qualify for certain things and helps from the government. In Nigeria, the government does not even care about the existence of anybody. For instance, the UK at least provides student loans that is repayable if you get a job and earn up to 30,000 pounds per annum. In Nigeria, the student loan is a death trap. It is virtually useless and impossible to obtain. Or, how likely is it that a student who knows someone in level 12 of the civil service ( A director role) will ever need a loan? Worse still, the requirements are impossible to attain for people who come from homes where the parents earn the minimum wage. Please add yours........................ 2 Likes 2 Shares |

itsme01:US has gun violence bla bla bla. Are the gun violents people contesting with government? The gun violence in US is in most cases about gangs. You obviously are the person still deluded here. How easy is it to get 10 dollars in Nigeria compared to how easy it is to get 500 naira in Nigeria. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

itsme01: Wao,, your parents travel freely to the UK? Your sister is a qualified British lawyer? They must be wondering why they have a person like you as a son and brother. The inconsistency in your statement is noticeable cos it is obvious you don't belong to the family you are referencing. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

itsme01:It is a choice, take it or leave it, no one is forcing you. The okada you are riding takes more than 18 hour from you if you want to earn up to 10,000 naira (10 pounds) excluding cost of fuel in Nigeria, yet you are complaining about a job that will pay you up to 100 pounds (100,000 naira) for the same 18 hours. Minimum wage per hour in UK is 6 pounds or thereabout. Something must be wrong with your brain. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

itsme01: Most of these things you hear are just propagandas. Watch this video and get the first hand info from someone who relocated from the UK to the US. Fast track the video to time stamp 6:25- 7:06 and listen to want the lady said about your bolded claim regarding guns. Those that say the US is not safe are just spreading unnecessary propagandas. Here is the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=547-7Gs9fzs Only watch 6:25- 7:06 as that's what I want u to listen to. 2 Likes 1 Share |
