Hello, Nairaland

Is it proper to consider a community crisis that happened in the past when choosing a life partner?

There is an issue in a relationship because both partners come from different communities but the same tribe and village.

The girl said she would not marry the man because of his community. His community had issues with her community many years ago

The young man in question was not part of the issues or community crises that happened in the past. He has never been. The only crime he committed was because of the community he came from. He is a good and very supportive.

He is a peace-loving person who does not support evil even if his community is guilty or involved. He loves this girl so much that he does not want to lose her.

What's your best advice to this young man/woman? If there are your friends or family members, what will you tell them?

How best do you think they should handle this issue?

I wish I could say something, but I don't know what to say because I can't relate.
