Dear Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak,

RE : KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVED UPGRADE OF OLOFA STADIUM; A CALL FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and high spirits. As a concerned resident of Kwara State, I feel compelled to reach out to you regarding a promise that was made quite some time ago. I am referring to your commitment, dating back to December 2021, to rehabilitate Offa Township Stadium, a prominent sporting facility in our beloved state.

Firstly, let me commend your administration for its efforts in steering our state towards progress and development. Your visionary leadership has undoubtedly transformed various sectors and inspired a renewed sense of hope amongst the residents. However, it is with a heavy heart that I bring to your attention the enduring state of neglect that Offa Township Stadium continues to suffer.

Sir, Offa Township Stadium holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Offa, Kwara, Nigeria and indeed Africa as a whole. It has served as a breeding ground for sporting talents, a symbol of community unity, and a platform for champions to emerge. Unfortunately, over the years, this once-thriving arena has fallen into a sorry state of disrepair, rendering it unsuitable for use and enjoyment.

As December fades into the distant past, and with today marking the 28th day of August, 2023, the promise to rehabilitate Offa Township Stadium has remained unfulfilled. While I understand the complexities and challenges associated with such projects, it is disheartening to witness the continued delay in addressing this matter of utmost importance to the sporting community and the residents of Offa.

It is my humble request, Your Excellency, that you prioritize the immediate rehabilitation of Offa Township Stadium. Revitalizing this sporting facility will undoubtedly foster a sense of pride and belonging within our local community and create a conducive environment for the cultivation of sporting talents. Moreover, it will serve as a testament to your administration's commitment to the holistic development of Kwara State and its residents.

I believe that investing in Offa Township Stadium will reap multifaceted benefits. Not only would it provide a platform for athletes to train, compete, and showcase their skills, but it would also attract sporting events, generate revenue, and stimulate local businesses. Furthermore, the stadium's revival would uplift the spirits of the residents, instilling a renewed sense of optimism and motivation to excel in various sporting disciplines.

Your Excellency, as the custodian of our beloved state, your words carry immense weight. The fulfillment of your promise to rehabilitate Offa Township Stadium would not only demonstrate your firm commitment to the well-being of the people but also solidify your legacy as a leader who keeps his word.

In closing, I humbly implore you, Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, to honour your pledge and expedite the rehabilitation of Offa Township Stadium. Let us stand united in our pursuit of progress and development, ensuring that the dreams and aspirations of the sporting community are not left to wither away.

May the wisdom and guidance bestowed upon you lead to swift action, making Offa Township Stadium a shining beacon of hope and unity for generations to come.
