Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday, police operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives arrested a vandal on Third Mainland Bridge removing metal drain ducts. The Lagos State Police Command reported that they found four metal drain ducts, spanners, pliers, rope, a screwdriver, and a wheel spanner in his possession. The 21 year old identified as Ibrahim Ashafa, was caught during their patrol. CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has ordered that the suspect be taken to court. He also instructed the operatives to step up their efforts in apprehending infrastructure vandals.
