SIRTee15:This is because "scent molecules" Ask chatgpt does smoke have an aroma/smell? |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 8:28pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: I updated. God is not interested in the smoke but the aroma. This is from the link evidence u produced Olah means that which go up. Jephthah presented his daughter unto the Lord. Not burnt her as sacrifice.

SIRTee15: The name is a translation of the Septuagint rendering, which is itself based upon the descriptive phrase often attached to "'olah" in the ritual prescriptions: "an offering made by fire unto the Lord" lol |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 9:06pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: I'm talking about the original Hebrew meaning. Olah literally means to bring up. The Septuagint is the one that attached olah with burnt offering. Pls read about Septuagint b4 replying. |

Maynman:Ask it yourself. What's diffusion? Tell me what u learnt about diffusion in chemistry class. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 9:10pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:Olay means to ascend, the smoke which is ascending. The septuagint is not written in hebrew but greek, olah is just one of the korbans. Jepthat or whatever sacrifice his child just like moab did.

SIRTee15:Aroma doesn't diffuse, it is particles that diffuse. Burning smoke ALWAYS go up |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 9:29pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: What u posted validate my point. The root meaning of olah is 'to ascend'. It doesn't say anything about smoke ascending...stop lying. It could be used for burnt offering but also be used as 'to go up' or 'offer to something higher' Septuagint attached it permanently to burnt offering. They are not wrong but olah could mean other things in the literal sense. |

Maynman: Do smoke diffuse? |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 9:37pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:The thing that is ascending is smoke from burning, olah ALWAYS mean burnt sacrifice and in this type, all of the animal part is sacrificed. You "offer" the burnt sacrifice to the lord through the smoke that goes up lol.

Maynman: That's not my question. Do smoke diffuse. Yes or No. |

SIRTee15: Listen to your advice and answer the question I have been asking you. Does smoke have an aroma? Yes or No |
Listen to your advice and answer the question I have been asking you. Does smoke have an aroma? Yes or No [/quote I asked u first but u dodged a simple question. Yes smoke and aroma do diffuse. So both spread out from it's original source. Now answer this question. Do u need a smoke for there to be aroma. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 10:06pm On Sep 03, 2023 |

Lol, you didn't answer the question. Does smoke have aroma. Yes or No. All smoke has smell, it doesn't need diffusion from aroma, wtf is that gan lol When you burn something, won't the smell of that thing come out in the smoke? |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 10:31pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: Where did I say smoke needs diffusion from aroma? Go and find your chemistry textbook and read about diffusion. Now answer my question. Must there be smoke to have aroma? Do u need smoke to produce aroma? |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 10:41pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:What do you mean by smoke AND aroma diffuse and spread out? Smoke is not an object, everything that makes up the smoke, the smell is part of the smoke, it's chemicals acting up. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 10:42pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:You generate smoke through burning, I already told you don't need to cook to get aroma, but when you cook only steam and smoke GOES UP LITERALLY. You will see it go up.
|
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 11:22pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: So u can have aroma without smoke. You don't need smoke or burnt offering to have aroma/sweet smelling savour. Olah means to ascend. Jephthah offered her daughter's chastity which is to ascend as an aroma unto God. There was no burnt sacrifice. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 11:38pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:Yes, your poo smells without burning it. Olah means to ascend and the ascension is smoke that is going up. Jepthat or whatever killed his daughter like moab did too. The talmud and midrash further supports this clear thing
|
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 11:46pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
Maynman: Is your own poo sweet smelling savour. If what God requires was smoke, he wouldn't bother about what was burnt. so long as there's smoke he should be pleased. Shouldn't he? Why would he insist on sweet smelling savour? I don't do conspiracy theory and u know it. Since we are going judaism tonight, then let me give u this...

SIRTee15:The verse talking about sweet smelling savor involved burning or do dead animals have sweet savor? What goes up is smoke, smoke have smell.

Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 11:57pm On Sep 03, 2023 |
SIRTee15:This not judiasm but an article. Olah in ALL CONTEXT always means Burnt sacrifice, one of the types of korban.

Maynman: U not making sense anymore. I dont need to see smoke or smell smoke to perceive aroma of a food being cooked. If I can smell smoke, then the food is burnt/overcooked. Aroma is different from smoke. Learn this fact. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by Maynman: 1:08am On Sep 04, 2023 |
SIRTee15:The sweet aroma in the verse is talking about BURNT offering, it's called offering made by fire. |
Re: Lessons From The Story Of Jephthah And Human Sacrifice. by SIRTee15: 1:13am On Sep 04, 2023 |
Maynman: Since u not making sense anymore, I will end it here by proving numerous verses of aroma. Genesis 8.20-21 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, Lev1.9 You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. And burnt offering doesn't need to be animal. It could be plants. Lev 2.2 [i]When anyone brings a grain offering to the Lord, their offering is to be of the finest flour. They are to pour olive oil on it, put incense on it 2 and take it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial[a] portion on the altar, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. Now show me anywhere in the bible God smelled the smoke from burnt offering and declared it pleasing. Just one. |
