Please Admin if you can take this to the front page I will very much appreciate because it was an embarrassing moment for me.

First of all I never knew it was a crime to look good and be cute. On my way back from Abuja to my hometown in Benin I was actually told to come down from the bus at every checkpoint by the police and it became so embarrassing for me and I was lucky to be in the midst of good passengers and a patient driver because the delays meant we will all get home late considering the bad road.

What was my crime and why was I asked to come down alone? Do I look like a terrorist or a kidnapper that endangered the lives of others in the bus? My hair was always low, close enough to skin, dressed in native attire well tailored, with a cap made by my tailor and a pair of sandal. Was I looking wrongly dressed or looked like a criminal or something? I am not a boy anymore that I maybe mistaken for a fraudster, so what was my crime in trying to look good and smell nice. They asked what my business was In Abuja, told them I paid a visit to my wife's family and that was the truth.

Did not was to argue or make any call because it will end up delaying other passengers, so I had to path away with some money to tip them so the journey can continue. I got home and told my wife I will think twice next time before using the road because I can't be running from kidnappers and also be running from the police, it's flight or nothing else. Imagine having to jump through luggages from the back seat just to meet a police officer outside only to be questioned about my looks and if I just returned from America etc.

Next time you want to travel try and look like Nigeria's economy so the police won't disturb you again.

It's the cap
They feel you are hidding your face....
It's an Abuja to Benin trip
So why dress like you are going for a wedding somewhere close ....
Wear hood another day or face cap same would happen

I travelled last week from Abuja to the east,we were all stopped at am army check point around Enugu.

And the army guys asked everyone in the executive sienna to come down. In fact,we were individually asked to provide means of identification. Luckily,me na federal govt officer,we had a journalist,a corper and other reasonable guys not like helinues them that has no job yet suffering and supporting every nonsense.

So,my brother,that is naija for u oh.
