Labour party has rejected the tribunal case

This I expected

But the real issue is what next for labour party and Obi?

The party gave a good account of itself in the last election surprisingly amassing large number of votes. They unsurprisingly fell short

Their showing in this year's election despite it fell short can be deem as successful

They must build on it.

2027 election is in 4-years and preparation for it already started

I will suggest they proceed their case to supreme court. Not necessary because they have chance to win, but because it will keep them active in the media and will not significantly dilute their support base ahead of 2027 election

Many ex and present candidates and parties applied these method. President Buhari did, Atiku also did. It made them remained relevant

They should also try to sort out their internal issues. Having factions will limit their chances of present and future success

They have to create the necessary alliance across board

The party is unknown in northern Nigeria especially core north. It has to device a strategy to penetrate or break into that region

While all these are important, it must cushion its supporters to embrace constructiveness instead of bullying and insulting opposing views

The party must realise that power will remain in south till 2031 and return back to North

So 2027 is a make or break for the party

If it doesn't plan very well ahead of the 2027 election, it not get power in 2031. Even if it will, its candidate has to be a northerner

Finally, the party also have control over a region and it can use that as a leverage to discuss possible alliance with other parties if need arises.

Labour party you gave a good fight and I hope you not only learn from your mistakes, you build on your success
