Why did the NATO tactics fail in Ukraine? Because NATO instructors only knew how to fight inferior forces with overwhelming American superiority.

A tank – including the Abram - performs its functions when there are friendly helicopters in the sky, when there is aviation in the sky.

Bradleys travel under tank cover. None of this happened in Ukraine. They instructed Ukrainian commanders at assembly points, that they should fight, as if they had some kind of superiority.

In other words, the tactics they proposed to Ukraine led to unjustifiable losses, to the dispersion of forces and means along the flanks, and along the front.

NATO failed utterly to create any of the prerequisites for a successful offensive - other than words. Words, spoken loud and clear. Especially loud.

NATO just does not get it. The prepared training courses of 2021 do no longer fit.

STFU killer putin apologist. It's crystal clear on this board that you are a russo-propagandist. The thing we haven't figured out is if he pays you.
According to AfDAfrica, elements of the kremlin are paying some africans to push propaganda.
But i doubt they would involve nairaland or its trolls.

Cry me a river.
NATO/US failed and has been revealed to be a paper tiger who can only face weak opponents. The day NATO/US decides to face Russia or China directly will be their end.

Defective Challenger 2 Tank Loses Front Armor Panel, Raising Concerns About British Armor Quality

During combat operations in the Eastern European theater, the performance of British Challenger 2 tanks has come under scrutiny, particularly after two of them were destroyed by Russian anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) 'Kornet,' highlighting significant vulnerabilities.

Social media and forums have been abuzz with reports that the first of the destroyed tanks had its front hull armor panel detached, and an internal ammunition explosion tore off the multi-ton turret. This has raised questions about the combat effectiveness of a vehicle that has long been touted as the gold standard of armored protection. In practice, it appears to have little advantage over previous-generation counterparts.

Challenger 2's combat record was primarily against less formidable opponents during the 2003 Iraq War, facing Soviet-era T-55 tanks and Chinese Type 69-I/II tanks armed with outdated anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades and guided missiles like the 'Malutka.' However, when confronted by a modern military equipped with potent anti-tank capabilities such as the 'Kornet' missile system, British armor faced a humiliating defeat. This may explain the reluctance to deploy these tanks into the frontlines for so long.

Currently, out of the 14 units supplied, only 12 remain in service, and there are no plans for further deliveries. Online, some humorously refer to the remaining tanks as the 'Twelve Friends of Zelensky.'

The unfortunate fate of these multi-ton 'gifts' has had a demoralizing effect on Americans, leading to delays in the delivery of their M1A1 Abrams tanks. It seems likely that these tanks will be sent to Ukraine when the Ukrainian Armed Forces exhaust other options, and the autumn thaw provides an opportunity to exclude the use of heavy armored vehicles.

According to?

Seymour Hersh writes (PRIGOZHIN’S FOLLY, The Russian ‘revolt’ that wasn’t strengthens Putin’s hand, June 29, 2023):

The current battlefield statistics that were shared with me suggest that the Biden administration’s overall foreign policy may be at risk in Ukraine. They also raise questions about the involvement of the NATO alliance, which has been providing the Ukrainian forces with training and weapons for the current lagging counter-offensive. I learned that in the first two weeks of the operation, the Ukraine military seized only 44 square miles of territory previously held by the Russian army, much of it open land. In contrast, Russia is now in control of 40,000 square miles of Ukrainian territory. I have been told that in the past ten days Ukrainian forces have not fought their way through the Russian defenses in any significant way. They have recovered only two more square miles of Russian-seized territory. At that pace, one informed official said, waggishly, it would take Zelensky’s military 117 years to rid the country of Russian occupation.

Here on the map you can see the results of ukraine counteroffensive on date August 17, 2023
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/08/17/ukraine-counteroffensive-melitopol/

And here on the date of September 11 https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-says-it-regains-more-territory-east-south-2023-09-11/

Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar said in televised comments that Ukraine had retaken nearly 2 square km (0.77 square mile) of land around the eastern city of Bakhmut, captured by Russia in May after months of fighting.

She later added on the Telegram messaging app that the Ukrainian army had in the past week also recaptured 4.8 square km in the southern Tavria sector.

Search for Patrick Lancaster on YouTube and watch things from both side, stop being feed by western media propaganda alone.

Watch from both side and know the real truth.

How will it be effective when they've never been used with another stronger opponent, I've been watching Patrick Lancaster on YouTube and this guy is always on the front line, the war just didn't start now, it just become a world wide thing since Russia came to the rescue of the donetsk people republic, they've been fighting since 2014.

The world need to know the truth.

You need to stop this, Ukraine is paying a heavy price for foolishly being pushed by the west to fight against Russia, even with the backing of 30 NATO countries Russia is still grinding Ukraine.

Successful what? grin

Western media don deceive una sha, madam go and do your research, the offensive had been a big failure.

If you follow this man Patrick Lancaster on YouTube, you'll also hear from the Russian side, don't just listen to only the information the west feed you.

Ukraine will hurried raise their flag in a territory and claim it is now taken by Ukraine, snap pictures and then remove it and get out.

What his videos, he went to the so called area they claim to have captured and all you see are Russian soldiers, even civilians that are still remaining will tell you nothing like that happen, all they do is shell schools, churches every civilian places instead of fighting the soldiers.

I have previously argued that at the current pace of the offensive, it will take Ukrainians 120 years to win back the territories occupied by the Russians

Ukrainians still cannot overcome even the gray security zone in front of the first line of the "Surovikin defense".
what is shown on the map as "successes" is generally..
let's say that in the area of the village of Rabocino, Ukrainians have been trying for a very long time to occupy the plain between the dominant heights on which Russian artillery stands..
that is, even to get into this terrible trap, Ukrainians put a lot of people and equipment..

Every area of the presently occupied Ukraine isn't defended evenly or equally, once Ukraine break through the defense fortification they would have most part under their control.
The 120 years would make sense if all area have the same level of fortification, Ukraine is probing for weaknesses in the defense, it was just one part of the defence in Kharkiv that Ukraine broke through and chased the Russians back. I don't know if I have explained it properly.
