Assistant to the American leader for national security Jake Sullivan said that US President Joe Biden is not planned to participate in the high-level UN Security Council meeting on September 20 dedicated to Ukraine , TASS reports .

“Currently there are no plans for the president to participate, although I cannot rule it out. But now I have nothing to announce,” he answered when asked whether Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky will participate in the Security Council meeting.

Before this, it was reported that Zelensky could appear at the UN Security Council at the same table with a representative of Russia .

On September 6, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) Dmitry Polyansky announced that Russia had requested a meeting of the Security Council on arms supplies to Ukraine on September 12.
