Wutinky:Imo state government is visionless. If it was Ebonyi that had access to river that terminates to Atlantic Ocean, they’d have signed the pact with foreign private investors. Ebonyi Govt always love infrastructure. Let me be observing them(Ebonyi) on their intra-state railway corporation construction for now. |

successmatters: If you are old enough, then you will know that at that time, the FG had it's own Airline called Nigeria Airways, Telephone Company (NITEL), Print Media called Daily Times, Television Media called NTA, Rail Transportation Company called NRC, Petroleum Marketing Company called African Petroleum (AP) & National Oil and Shipping Company called Nigerian National Shipping Line (NNSL). The Military Authorities, felt that the Government, more correctly should be in-charge of the economy and that only the Federal Government can guarantee equitable distribution of economic wealth to the citizens. Deliberate efforts were made to reduce the economic powers of the States and the private sector were prevented by decrees from participating in the heavy duty sections of the economy. At that time, the Federal Military Government simply gave orders to these companies to perform certain duties based on political reasons and not necessarily sound economic reasons. |

aklid: What do you mean by low grade things? In London, there are many shoes and clothes (especially those sold in Primark and sometimes by Sainsburry) that are more or less of the same quality as Aba made goods. Hand-made Cardigans in Oshogbo are far more superior to many cardigans sold in London. |
