Akwa Ibom Traditional Rulers In An Illegal Move To Seek Godswill Akpabio's Support For Umo Eno

In a recent development, traditional rulers from Akwa Ibom State are reportedly making arrangements to meet with former Governor Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President. The purpose of this meeting is said to be pressing for his support for Umo Eno, the current Governor of Akwa Ibom State, who is facing a legal battle over his educational qualifications.

It is reported that Frank Archibong has given 5 million naira each to some key elders and paramount rulers in the State to be part of the team that will be meeting Akpabio in Abuja to seek his support for Umo Eno.

Rumors surrounding the potential financial incentives and political maneuvering have raised questions about the integrity of this endeavor.

The alleged plan also includes the offer of a substantial sum, approximately 10 billion Naira, to Godswill Akpabio in exchange for his support. Additionally, there are whispers of significant monetary contributions to individuals within the presidency, all aimed at persuading the President to intervene in Umo Eno's certificate forgery case which judgement is expected soon, with a promise that he will decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recalled we have reported before now that Umo Eno had dolled out $500,000 to the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Mr. Femi as an intervention fee to seek the president's favour over his case which has been tagged by pundits as a "Bad case".
