EDO 2024: Engr. Ikhine, Consolidating In APC For Victory

The recent visit by a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, popularly called the 'Game Changer', Engr. Gideon Ikhine to the Edo State Working Committee of APC, has started generating comments in both political divides in the state.

Those who spoke to The Groove Watch News Crew, but begged not to be mentioned said Engr Ikhine's comments in that meeting were very weighty considering his political status in Edo politics.

They said looking at the role he played in his 24 years in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where his support to the party gave PDP victory throughout the period at the Edo Central Senatorial District, that such history is about to repeat itself in APC as he has started consolidating his political base and spread in the state.

Ikhine's commitment to Edo politics cannot be over emphasised as he usually commits his hard earned resources to mobilize for his political party for victory in all elections. Therefore, while PDP is counting its huge loss for loosing him, the APC will be counting her gains from this political giant who has started making waves in his present party, APC.

Those who spoke to us from the PDP side said, they agreed quite well that the crisis that erupted in their party was not properly managed, hence the exodus of members to other political parties, including Engr. Gideon Ikhine whose political role in PDP then was unquantifiable. They opined that if he chooses to run in the Edo 2024 Governorship election, that the support for him by Edo people will cut across all political parties in the state. They said they only wish that the members of his party APC will know his worth and give him all the necessary support he needs in the party.

Those who spoke to us in the APC said it will be out of ignorance not to support this kind of person if he chooses to run in the Edo Governorship election, slated for next year. They described Ikhine as a huge asset to the party, adding that he has demonstrated his political prowess since he joined the party. They called on other members of the party to give the man all the needed support to move the party forward in the state. They said his political exploit in the state is known to all.

Engr. Ikhine is a grassroots politician whose vision for Edo people is second to none. He is competent, intelligent and his credentials are intimidating. He is someone you can count on when it comes to trust and delivery.

During Ikhine's visit to the Edo APC Secretariat, he promised to partner with the state working committee to work towards winning the Edo 2024 Governorship election.

He also vowed to work with the party in order to take them away from the opposition in the state.

From source at the party Secretariat, Ikhine's visit was timely and appreciated by the members of the state working committee knowing the calibre of person that have joined their party. To them too it was like home coming for Gideon Ikhine as they received him with love and sincerity.
