As a young person living in Lagos I represented Delta and Rivers states in sports nationally because I was paid/sponsored.

Even NEPA back then was a big sponsor and it was regional NEPA Osogbo, NEPA Lagos NEPA Warri etc would steal players from each other with money inducements
All our meetings and training happened in Lagos and Ogun state. At a point I had discussion with Kano but it didn't work out but I know others who represented them living in Lagos that had never gone to Kano
