God works in mysterious ways. Who can know His thoughts? Who has known His Mind?
Can that which is made decide for his maker what and how it should be made?
Can the clay dictate to the potter the shape or design it should be moulded?
Does God seek the counsel of man before executing His plan?

But by the Spirit of the LORD, God does as He wills and reveals to His prophets and friends the intents and thoughts of His Mind.

A lot of aspersions have been cast concerning the election of Jimmy Odukoya as the successor of his dad at Fountain of Life church. I too was skeptical about it.

But after listening to this message, I was not only cut in the heart, I wept. The Grace of God on this man is not the type to cheat ourselves of.
The effulgence of the Presence and Power of God was heavily manifest in this service as He addressed His election by God's Grace and He ministered to the spiritual needs of the church effortlessly with a Grace that is only Given by God.

This particular Ministration has won my heart and I pray it also does what God intends it to do in the lives of every one who listens and watches with an open heart.
The culmination of a Good Ministration is that God is glorified through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, evident in the Power of the Word unto salvation of souls and the edification of the church.
Hallelujah!

More grace to him.

He should drop his childish toys and be a good example in his dressing.
When Rachel saw moses in the apparel of Egyptians, he could only describe him to her father as an Egyptian.

Leadership position is a sacred one. Soon young people will be copying his wearing of earrings, dreadlocks, and possibly, girls dressing funny to his church.

Elderly people would be leaving the ministry soon for his excesses.

The funny thing is, such a fellow would not listen to older ministers, who also would like to keep their respectable distances from him.

I'll wait for you to correct the name of the wife of Moses before I address your point.
It's important to get our information right. Any error distorts/corrupts our knowledge and invariably our understanding and interpretation of scriptures.

It is an error. Not Rachel, however, go ahead.

Truly looks are very important. However, as a believer we do not judge by sight alone but by the Spirit the person carries.

Romans 8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

The Jews missed Jesus Christ because they were judging him by sight. They had an expectation of the "proper look" and "proper background" he should have.
John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.

However, the conditions/guidelines for being a Pastor/Bishop are also enumerated;

1 Timothy 3: 1-7 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Based on this, we have to take our time to test his spirit and not be quick to judge by his looks.
