Chief Owolabi Salis, a New York-based lawyer and chartered accountant, has called upon President Bola Tinubu to prioritize fairness and equity in his appointments.

Salis, who contested for the position of Governor of Lagos State in the 2019 Nigerian general elections under the Alliance for Democracy (A.D), emphasized the significance of appointments as a means to foster national unity and cohesion. He expressed concerns over criticisms regarding certain key appointments and stressed the importance of avoiding division, especially given the nation's current challenges.

An expert in diversity management, Salis noted that the recent general elections had exacerbated religious and ethnic divides within the country. He expected leaders like Tinubu and his party, the APC, to draw from their wealth of experience to promote unity. He highlighted the Yoruba tradition of harmonizing diverse interests and called for appointments to reflect Nigeria's rich diversity.

Salis praised former President Olusegun Obasanjo's appointments, citing figures like Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Prof. Charles Soludo, Nuru Ribadu, Nasir El-Rufai, Nenadi Usman, Dr. Kpakol, and others as examples of effective diversity management. He underscored that good diversity management is integral to national unity and development.

Salis concluded by urging President Tinubu to address the concerns raised about appointments and demonstrate his commitment to being a leader for all Nigerians, regardless of their ethnic background. He encouraged Tinubu to uphold his perceived pan-Nigerian stance from the last elections and strive to unite the nation.

This one is still in sifia pains.

Tinubu has been dictating the outcome of national elections for the past 4 cycles starting with the 2011 election that produced Jonathan.

He is now President just as Obasanjo was.

As Obasanjo's policies affected you both negatively and positively, so will Tinubu's policies also affect you.
