Infinix X3 Slim Overview: Budget Thin And Light Design Laptop by lulumartin: 1:37pm On Sep 28, 2023
Hi Nairaland

The Infinix X3 Slim is arguably one of the greatest sub-Rs 40,000 thin and light laptops.

The industry standard is set by Infinix's implementation of an ultraportable laptop with an Intel 12th generation CPU. It stands out from the competition thanks in part to its 1080p anti-glare display, 75% keyboard, stacked I/O port options, and sturdy build quality.

Another beneficial feature in a laptop with plenty of them is the addition of twin front-facing lighting.

The 720p webcam and mediocre speakers, though, make watching media on an otherwise cost-effective device less enjoyable. I suggest the Infinix X3 Slim as a fantastic laptop under Rs 40,000.

It stands out from the competition thanks in part to its 1080p anti-glare display, 75% keyboard, stacked I/O port options, and sturdy build quality.

Another beneficial feature in the laptop is the addition of twin front-facing lighting. The 720p webcam and mediocre speakers, though make watching media on an otherwise cost-effective device less enjoyable.

A 14-inch FHD screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of 60Hz is featured on the Infinix X3 Slim. While these specifications are quite normal, the screen stands out in its class with 300 nits of brightness and 98% sRGB colour coverage.

The screen is bright and capable of displaying a variety of colours in the sRGB colour space, which is used by the majority of websites, games, and streaming apps.

The screen also has a matte anti-glare coating and good viewing angles. Because of this, it is fingerprint-resistant and you may use it to work in an office setting with lots of hanging lights.

The Infinix X3 Slim's speakers are at best decent. Although they are loud, the sound stage is relatively small.

The laptop has a sizable number of I/O connections, including an HDMI port, an SD card slot, two USB Type-C ports, one of which is a thunderbolt port, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The laptop also comes with a 65W charging brick that can charge it to more than 60% in about an hour and supports PD charging.

The laptop's onboard Intel "U" series CPU and large 50Wh battery both contribute to its great battery life. With 100% full-screen brightness and the battery set to performance mode, the laptop lasted about 7 hours during the PC Mark 10 battery test with w typical office workload.
It has one of the best ratings in its category.

You may activate the laptop's dual front-facing flashlights with a keyboard shortcut. These lights appear to be a beneficial addition to the laptop and function well in dimly lit environments.

The Infinix X3 Slim is powered by an Intel 12th Gen Core i5-1235U, a very power-efficient processor. The chip is bad about 17W at its maximum, and the chip readily hangs about by utilising 15-14W for the majority of use cases, such as surfing, streaming, and document editing. These elements significantly contribute to the laptop's ability to give a long battery life.

The Intel Core i5-1235U is also a flexible chip. As a point of comparison, the high-end HP Envy x360 15, which sells for around RS 1 lakh, also makes use of the same CPU and offers adequate performance all round.

The Intel Core i5-1235U excels at routine chores like light picture editing, running Canva, streaming UHD videos, and more but not intensive ones like video editing and running Adobe programmes.

Despite being a product of a smartphone company, the Infinix X3 Slim shows how to offer a quality laptop experience at a low cost.

High-end construction is evident in the hinge design, 1.24kg weight, and aluminium chassis. With 300 nits of brightness and 98% sRGB colour coverage, the 14-inch FHD display is impressive and sufficient for the majority of professional work. With performance comparable to more expensive laptops thanks to the Intel 12th Gen Core i5-1235U, it can easily handle daily work and light editing.

It is a flexible workhorse thanks to its extensive I/O, especially the thunderbolt port, and a battery life that can last up to 7hours under heavy tasks. It's two flashlights up front are a notable feature.

The Infinix X3 Slim, which combines great design, functionality, and performance, distinguishes out in its market.
