Please who and where do I report MTN continuos fraudulent data offers via the MTN app. This is the second time a thing of this nature is happening to me.

I was prompted on Tuesday by the MTN NG APP that I should buy 1G for N100 in the Tuesday Awoof Offer. I paid, and they DEBITED MY N100, but only 100 mb was credited to my line. An activation sms was even sent to my phone, stating that 100mb and another 900 mb had been credited to my line.. I put a call across to their contact center, only for me to be informed that it was 100 Mb that I subscribed for. Broad daylight robbery. This is soo annoying, and for the fact this is the second time says a lot about their integrity and brand.
The first time something similar happened, I sent several mails and even copied Consumer Protection of Nigeria, but till date, nothing was done about it. Federal consumer protection did not even respond.
Its really sad that consumers rights are not protected and defended in thus nation.

Why should the network bring offers that they can't fulfil?

OP o grin...
MTN data is indeed very terrible undecided...

I bought 1gb worth of data for 200 just so I could while away time on Instagram (since my monthly plan had expired yesterday)

Only for me to get a notification roughly 25mins after that my data had been exhausted grin...

I was like "what's going on here" grin...
So I went to check my phone's data usage to see if maybe an app was using background data and lo and behold, Nothing! grin...

Total data according to my phone's data usage records and according MTN app data usage records, what I used was just a little over 300mb grin...

So in essence, what MTN actually gives you is 30% of what they promised grin...

Take heart cheesy...

#100 for 1g and you still get mind to buy it. Just that amount. In this country subscribe for cheap and free stuffs from anybody at your risk.

Oh same happened to me this week. I subscribed to their extra value plan on data for 3500. In their offer it was 24gig and airtime worth 3500 but they gave me 12gig and 3500 airtime worth. They are deliberately being fraudulent.

shouldn't mtn be an organization of repute? Why should he doubt the offer? The way some of you analyze things baffles me.
You are blaming the victim and absolving the perpetrators of deceit of any blame

Sorry If I said the opposite of what you expected, the reason is because most of things that seems working in this country is not workable. From hair to foot. From president, judiciary, governor's and some police officers
I don't expect less from the network providers because they have idols in which they looked up to

Well, if you read the write up properly, you will see where I wrote that the MTN app usually prompts and tell you when it's Awoof Tuesday. Please don't derail my valid complaints. The issue here is why will you MTN advertise a promo and they will not meet their obligation. They do all these because they know they can get away with things like this. Consumer rights is dead in Nigeria.

There's nothing like fear God in this matter. The 1g is valid for 24 hours. goto fccpc website and file a complaint not via mail,

Opay and etranzact held 46k for 2 months and I mailed them, though they replied 2 weeks later , buy their advice was to complain via the website.

I did and just last week my money was refunded , etranzact where at fault

One of the few times I've seen a Nigerian institution work efficiently

Nah its not. Moreover if it was, it's only ideal if it is stated in the terms and conditions of the offer.
