Urging Nigeria Supreme Court to Order Runoff election.

Now that Chicago State University has confirmed authenticity of Bola Tinubu certificate of graduation from the school, does that validate Mr. Tinubu desired to stay on as Nigeria president? No, and I hope not. What will validate Bola Tinubu desired to stay in power is meeting section 134 (1) of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria. The bedrock of Nigeria Democracy is the 1999 constitution—it provides Nigeria among other things criteria for deciding the winner of presidential election.

And for those of you who may not know how the presidency of Nigeria is chosen, section 134 (1) states:
“1. A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected, where, there being only two candidates for the electiona. he has the majority of votes cast at the election; and b. he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja”

So, when you look at 2023 presidential election, Bola Tinubu (A) won the most popular votes (B) won 2/3 of Nigeria 36 states, and (c) received 19% instead 25% of total votes cast in the Nigerian capital, Abuja—an indication that no candidate in the 2023 presidential election met section 134 (1-4) as clearly stated in the 1999 constitution of Nigeria.

The 1999 constitution of Nigeria further states that where no candidate has met the constitutional required, the two highest votes getters shall be selected for runoff election.

No one is perfect, but I have to admit, I do make mistake sometimes. But is this not how to get wiser?
Only the Supreme court of Nigeria can end the continued mistrust of the Nigerian court system by ordering runoff election between Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar based upon the results of 2023 presidential election.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Supreme court of Nigeria, say no to INEC declaration of Bola Tinubu as the president of Nigeria. Order immediate runoff election between Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar. This will end chaos and return trust of all Nigerians to all the courts in Nigeria.
