Alleged Lobbying Efforts by Ondo Deputy Governor Exposed Amid Impeachment Proceedings

The alleged attempt by the embattled Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to influence the ongoing impeachment proceedings has been exposed.

Sources within the APC national secretariat in Abuja revealed that Aiyedatiwa has been actively engaged in financial activities in an attempt to halt his impeachment process.

An anonymous source disclosed that Aiyedatiwa has reached out to a close associate of the national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, with an alleged offer of a $100,000 bribe in exchange for intervention to prevent his impeachment.

Having spent nearly two weeks in Abuja, Aiyedatiwa has refused to respond to allegations of gross misconduct leveled against him by the House of Assembly.

In addition to the reported $100,000 intended for the national chairman, Aiyedatiwa is said to have expended substantial sums to bribe some party elders in Abuja to avert his impeachment.

The actions of the Deputy Governor have drawn strong criticism from the people of the state, who believed his reluctance to address the allegations is a disregard for the people.
