As we speak governor Godwin Nogheghase OBASEKI is the only governor not owing pensioners in Nigeria. This is fruit of quality and productive leadership.

Believe this at your peril.
The first question to ask is why after spending 7 years and counting obaseki is just remembering these pensioners and even at that, there is also going to be their usual verification?
Don't be surprised that the verification alone would run into the next election for Edo.
It's like what some governors do:when they are about ending their tenures, thats when they employ thousands of people into the civil service and all other manner of agencies, trying to curry cheap popularity while burdening the incoming goverment with a wage bill they can't take care of.

Payment to pensioners have repeatedly been done at the state level, currently it is being moved to the local government level, mind you most states have over 300,000 works presently. Then the next question to ask is how much is Edo state federal government allocation.

You are writing based on assumption, which is the lowest rung of intelligence.
Governor Obaseki isn't owing pensions, he even cleared the backlog he met, The backlog he paid was some Gov's responsibility, he failed at.... Now he's on gratuities, you are here castigating him, why the rest nor pay since?
Talk about Pension and Civil Service Reforms? Gov Obaseki leads and others follow.
