There are no side effects, other than the usual ones that occur in nearly all marriages (age factor or not). And if i may ask, why should a man demand so much respect from a woman he calls his wife? I just don't get it. If you truly love your selves in a marriage, the respect would come mutually and work well. The issue of old age is null and void as far as i am concerned. You are what you become, whether or not you marry someone your age or otherwise. And come to think of it; its sheer selfishness and ego tripping on the part of men who think of "what happens" at old age. Why should the woman be the one to take care of her aging husband? Whatever happens to live and let's die! It works both ways my guy. jUST follow your mind and be good to the woman you feel love for.

it depends on how mannered, culture and respectful the lady is. l've been involved with pple older than me that actually treated me with more respect cos of their up bringing.

Every relationship is challenging, you must understand that yours is quite sensitive, if the feeling is mutual and she exhibits high levels of respect, courtesy for everyone, not just you, then you can go ahead.

Frequent communication between both of you is inevitable, this would help in smoothing the relationship, whenever issues arise be sure to resolve it quickly, avoid being overtly commanding and avoid making references to the fact that you are age mates whenever issues arise.

You would be fine, many are married to ladies older than they are and are doing very well.

Mutual feeling, Courage, Respect and Sacrifice are key.
