I never said light skin. You know somalis come in diffrent shades. I meant the entire look is horn, light skin, straight nose, long hair etc. these features are essentially horn features, while big lips and wide nose are the majority belong to negroids, but none of the pics posted look like classic negroid features.

Somalia is a member of the arab league, and sudan and somalia are not the same people. This whole arab - somalia connection is being way over played. there are less than 30,000 arabs in somalia. But their are 1 million Somalis in Yemen alone, and Another 2 million all over the middle east and north africa.


Everyone has an idea of what a Negroid looks like. And its opposite from what a Somali looks like. I have never seen an arab with a nigerian or other black. I have seen many somalis married to Arab, Pakistanis...So their is big cultural diffrence between Somalis and Negroids.

I later asked her why she thought i was Somali and she said it was because of my hair, skin tone, nose, etc.

Few minutes later she left and i was talking to my Somali friends at the somali mall. I TOLD one of them he looks like he is ghanian. he doesnt but i wanted to see his reaction. He got mad at me...i told him i was joking. Then a few days later i told a west african lady she looks ethiopian, the lady was very happy and took it as a compliment.


my analysis. If you tell a negroid he looks somali/ethiopian they take it as a compliment, but if you tell somali/ethiopian that they look like their nigerian/ghanian etc....its offensive and they take it as an inslut.

Nigerians and Somalians have very different accents, it isn't about looks. Nigeria has more diversity than any other African country. We have Nilo-Saharan languages, Afro-Asiatic languages and Niger- Congo languages.
