The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of the 86 Regular Recruits Intake for both women and non-tradespersons. This information was released by the Army Headquarters through a statement featured in Gistlover on Monday.

In the announcement, the Army conveyed, “The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public and all interested qualified candidates of the commencement of online registration for 86 Regular Recruits Intake for trades/non-tradesmen and women.”

The application process for this recruitment drive commenced on September 25 and is set to conclude on October 27, 2023. Successful candidates will proceed to a state recruitment exercise scheduled to take place from November 6 to November 19, 2023.

Here is a summarized breakdown of the application process for tradespersons, non-tradespersons, and women aspiring to join the Nigerian Army’s 86 Regular Recruits Intake:

1. Visit the online application form at http://recruitment.army.mil.ng.

2. Access the provided link using the designated username and password.

3. Complete the application form online, submit it, and retain a copy for your records. You should also fill out and submit the Guarantor’s form.

4. Ensure that you bring copies of the application form and the properly signed Guarantor’s form to the specified state recruitment centers.

5. The Army Headquarters has outlined specific eligibility criteria, including being single and a Nigerian citizen by birth, possessing a National Identity Card/NIN, having a clean record without felony convictions, achieving at least four passes in no more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, and meeting all other physical, mental, and medical requirements stipulated by the Nigerian Army.

6. Non-tradespersons and women candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old, while tradespersons and women must not exceed the age of 26 as of December 18, 2023. Tradespersons and women applicants must have also passed a trade test and possess a certificate from the city guild.

7. The height requirement is at least 1.68 meters for male candidates and 1.65 meters for female candidates. Additionally, applicants must have a valid birth certificate or an age declaration that is duly approved by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a local government council. Legal state of origin is also necessary.

8. All registered nurses and midwives who are under 30 years old are eligible to apply.
