It is a common saying that ignorance is a disease. That disease called ignorance is what is ravaging Africa as a whole and Nigeria in particular. Nigerians tend to do all things emotionally. They are beclouded by pity and emotions over reality and logic and they are ready to die for the falsehood they so much uphold. Little wonder you still see Nigerians in multitude practising religion daringly. You can't take it away from them.
Now to the topic of discussion, we are aware that majority of the Christians in Nigeria are in support of Israel over Palestine for the sole reason that Israel was the birthplace of their Messiah. But in reality the reverse is the case. It has been established that Palestine is the birthplace of Jesus and not Israel, but what will our dogmatic religionists do this time around? Will they turn around to start supporting Palestine now that their main aim of supporting Israel has boomeranged on their faces? No, my people will never ever agree to a change. They will stick to their delusionary belief and remain in the quagmire of hallucinated falsehood.
So if you don't know before now you know, PALESTINE IS THE BIRTHPLACE OF JESUS.
Which of the nations will you now give your support to? cool

If you call yourself a Christian and you hate Israel then you are reading a different bible!

How is it possible to call yourself a Born Again Christian and at the same time they have nothing with the Jewish people?

The truth is that the world hates the Jews because it also hates God.
The Jews are the firstborn of God, His chosen ones (Deuteronomy 14:2).

Re: Hamas War: Which Country Should The Christians Take Side With? by dangermouse(m): 8:24am On Oct 17, 2023
The Jews murdered Christ so the scriptures would be fulfilled.

Christianity was then founded upon Christ who proclaimed a different religion from Judaism.

Christ preached peace and love of ones neighbour as one would love his/herself. This is a major differentiating Christianity from other religion.

A real and practical Christian would never support murder in any guise nor indulge in it. The Bible is against that and many more.

So answering your question, a Christian would support neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis.

What is wrong is wrong. Both sides engages evil(killing of each other). Its only natural that the nation with upper hand will commit more killings Tha the other.

Not at all. Many people said they were supporting Israel because it is the birthplace of their Messiah. Those are the people I'm directing this thread to. Now that they know that Jesus is a Philistine, do you think they should turn around to start supporting Palestine?

▢ The birthplace of the religion of Christianity is Rome and not Jerusalem. undecided
▢ The birthplace of Jesus Christ is Bethlehem of the Nation of Judae and not Palestine. Yes, Palestine is the name of that geographical region today but at the time Jesus Christ was born over 2000 years ago, the region belonged to the people of Judae aka the Jews . i.e. the descendants of Levi, Benjamin, and Judah. undecided

Whether swords, spears, guns or bomb the import of that message is "those taking up weapons will perish by weapons"

Today the greatest army in the world aren't in anyway using physical weapons {Ephesians 6:12} rather the most wonderful counselor of all time who is the Prince of peace {Isaiah 9:6} has trained us to use psychological weapons with which we catch our captives alive {Luke 5:10} and not only that we uproot hatred for fellow humans, the thought of weapons and wars out of their hearts and make them vow never to raise weapons against anyone again {Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3} that's what the Son of God trained us to achieve among those who now accept him as Lord! Act 1:8 compare to Matthew 28:19-20

So if you see or hear of people still using weapons today know that it's in fulfilment of the endtime prophecies {Revelations 6:3-4} and as they're ruining lives and the planet with their weapons the true God is coming to destroy them all! Revelations 11:18

Those fighting with swords knew that they could die by it even before your bible wrote it down. It is a common sense thing. Fighting with sword is a risky venture. You quoting it as a big deal is what seems pathetic. It's like saying, those who eat food shall visit the toilet to defecate. Or like saying those who are babies today, if they don't die, they will become adults. They are all normal and common sense things.

Hmmmmmmm that's because you think like a child!

Jesus isn't talking about the risk in fighting with physical weapons otherwise his utterances will make no practical sense rather he is talking to faithful people who want to rely on God for their salvation. Before that time God's servants have to fight with physical weapons for two reasons:
[1]To protect their lives.
[2]To secure God's temple the most Holy place on planet earth.

By the time Jesus began his ministry faithful servants of God no longer see any place as special to be secured for pure worship {John 4:21-24} so faithful people don't have to fight for that. Moreover when people die faithful servants of God in ancient times hope to come back to life through resurrection {Job 14:13-15} Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah who will raise all the dead {John 11:25-26} so he is telling his faithful disciples not to think of saving their lives through hating or killing their adversaries {Luke 6:27-30} because a time is coming and that time is now when Satan will misconstrue everything and make people feel like killing one another {Revelations 6:3-4} and what do you think such people will be thinking in their hearts?
Well they will think they're offering sacred service to God:

"Men will expel you from the synagogue. In fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he has offered a sacred service to God. But they will do these things because they have not come to know either the Father or me. Nevertheless, I have told you these things so that when the hour for them to happen arrives, you will remember that I told them to you" John 16:2-4

So if servants of God also join or participate in the killing then blood guilt will be upon all those living on planet earth. That's what Jesus the Son of God meant by saying to his faithful disciples:

“Return your sword to its place, for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword" Matthew 26:52

Of course whether we fight or not death is upon all mankind but then the one who has authority over death has issued an order all those believing (trusting) in his word will be remembered during the resurrection of dead but what about those who ignored his counsel?
Well God's word has this to say:

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might NOT PERISH but have everlasting life. John 3:16

So my friend, Jesus wasn't talking to everyone his wise counsel is strictly for only those who believe (trust) in him!

Not true. I wish christians would consider what “Isreal” they are supporting. Think for yourself and don’t buy the “hype” of the mass.

Today’s Isreal is not same as biblical Isreal. Today’s Israel is an abomination to God of bible.

Why?

Isreal today is very liberal secular society. Have you wondered why the secular west side with Isreal? THAT alone should give you cause for concern and pause to “think”.

Biblical Isreal is spread all over the world. Who knows, that neighbor of yours that you consider a worthless heathen may be more an “Isrealite” than the one residing in the land of Isreal.

The LAND of Isreal today is God’s holy land truly. However, the “inhabitants” of the land of Isreal today being “Gods” people is highly questionable.

Better question is: why is a spirit filled follower of Christ of holy Bible “support” what God considers abomination?!

If Hamas is like Boko Haram, how come Palestines are supporting them? And how come they don't attack Palestines? Because as much as I know, Nigerians don't support Boko Haram and Boko Haram attacks Nigerians. But the case here is a reverse, Hamas only attacks Israel their enemy and Palestines are in support of them.

You don't seem to get it. HAMAS is like Taliban in Afghanistan, they are a terror group that grew so powerful to oust the government of the day. The same is HAMAS. The same trend had Khomeini in Iran when he ousted the Sha of Iran. This same is the agenda of Boko Haram and ISWAP. In Nigeria, they are subtly mounting pressure through splinter groups like bandits, herdsmen. They have only one agenda - to take power.

In Palestine, there are sizeable Christian population there. I read a book long ago by one Elias Chacoor: Blood Brothers. He gave details of the running of Palestine.

However, what is terrorism. In layman definition, it is use of gestapo kind of attack against a much stronger opposition that cannot be engaged in approved battle rules. They tend to use human shields, worship houses, hospitals that are forbidden to hit wars. They are always poorly armed compared normal national army. They are not trained by any known national defence institutions, bùt receive training through the back door.

HAMAS is ruling Palestine against the wishes of the people. Although, many also see them as their freedom fighters. The same is happening in Nigeria. Sizeable Muslims here are pretending as if they don't like what Boko Haram and it's groups are doing. It is a lie. In the wake of the insurgency, I was in the middle belt. An Imam left his mosque in Nasarawa State for Maiduguri tó go and fight. The video of executed Boko Haram foundesrs were being circulated.
People began to condemn them when it has become a monster.

Until there is a Palestinians State, there can be no Palestinian Army.

I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim. I am above religion. I have a mind of my own. Now what you don't understand is that religion should be followed exactly as it is stated in the books or better still, abandon it outrightly. You see me, I pulled out of religion because I can't follow all the nonsense therein. That's why I always want everyone to leave religion alone and make it extinct.
But if you feel that you want to follow your religion, then it has to be followed 100% and that's what Muslims know how to do best. The Qur'an said that you should convert forcefully and turn everywhere you possess into an islamic state. Judaism also said something similar. Their god promised that wherever the soles of their feet touched shall be given to them as possession that was why ancient Israels were specialists in land-grabbing.
The solution to all these madness is for religion to be totally annihilated by humans, else we will continue to face all these nonsense forever. Labelling Islamic fighters terrorists doesn't change anything. That's what religion wants. Check for Jihad. Real Muslims are the ones practising jihad and the rest are just fakes. But for peace to be on earth, let's stop RELIGION and use logic to do the earth. Many wars will be stopped if religion goes into extinction.

Wars are part of life. No religion started the art of war. It is selfishness and pride in man. Later religion came in, man looking for a higher person to help in wars.

War is part of Islam. Islam says to kill any non - Muslims wherever they are found.
Islam thrived with wars and rose to dominance until the time of renaissance. The then sultan of Turkey was the most powerful man on earth. He became ' The sick man of Europe '

I like your position and disregard for religion. I wish everybody believes what you believe. Unfortunately, that is not the case. So, terrorism is a thing to deal with. How many Nigerians have lost their lives since matszaine and Boko Haram.. In 9/11 about 3000 innocent souls from all walks of life were killed for no reason other than being on American soil. Sadly, the terrorists have killed more Muslims than any other faith all over the world.

If there are any honest Muslims anywhere, they should support annihilation of terrorists.

How can a Muslim be honest by supporting annihilation of terrorism(a form of jihadic practice supported by the Qur'an)? It is ironic to say that those who supported annihilation of terrorism are honest Muslims. A true Muslim must follow all the tenets and commandment of Allah. Once again, the simple solution to terrorism is not fighting but for everyone to start dropping religion. That is the foundational solution. Religion gives birth to terrorism, so leaving religion and fighting its offspring(terrorism) will yield little or no result. Till date we are still fighting BOKO HARAM. What if there is no Islam? Then there wouldn't have been any need for the birth of Boko Haram.

It is better to support your relations than to support bastards. The children of Ishimelo/Ishmael are related to the Hebrews but the white impostors are creation of thieves who went to establish the vision given to Daniel against the time. Many of you Chrislamjew are in deep error. You have believed so many lies cos of ignorance. Those you all think are the Hebrews are the the impostors - Rev 2:9; 3:9.

The Hebrews are about to wake up from the long blindness that befell them. And as they are restored you all shall hear the truth for Salvation is of the Hebrews - John 4:22

Righteousness2:
If you call yourself a Christian and you hate Israel then you are reading a different bible!

How is it possible to call yourself a Born Again Christian and at the same time they have nothing with the Jewish people?

The truth is that the world hates the Jews because it also hates God.
The Jews are the firstborn of God, His chosen ones (Deuteronomy 14:2).

Which world hates the Jews? Is that why the US, UK and the EU continuously offers aid to Israel; because they hate Jews they give them money and defend them?

Christians are for peace, Christians don't take sides in war or fight, except of course the good fight of faith that we don't fight flesh and blood.
The gospel is for the whole world, and biblical, it's more likely a Palestinian will respond to the gospel than a Jew. We pray for Israel and hope for their respite because they are our big blind brethren, from Father Abraham. Summary
