The Kogi sons and daughters in the diaspora, living in countries outside Nigeria, USA,UK, Germany, France, Canada etc, with some Senior Kogi State stakeholders across Nigeria, after series of meetings, discussions and wide consultations have decided to give their full support in the forth coming gubernatorial election to Hon Elder Leke Abejide under the umbrella of African Democratic Congress ADC.
Hon Elder Leke Abejide is currently a member of the House of Representative for the second term, where he is representing the good people of Yagba Federal constituency. According to information gathered, Leke Abejide was adopted because of his antecedents, financial commitment and how he has been touching the lives of people he represents positively even before he joined politics. He has been passionate about helping the less privileged, farmers have access to chemicals for farming, payment WAEC fees for all secondary school students in Yagba for the past six year to relieve parents of the financial burden and an extension of the gesture to the other federal constituency in Okunland. Food items for all the widows, clothing and other materialsf mater. During a mega empowerment Hon. Abejide distributed , tricycles Motorcycle, sewing machines, industrial machines, grinding machines, laptops and different brand of vehicle to constituents people. He recently donated SUV Jeeps to all the OBAs (Royal Fathers) in his constituency. He also empowered the youth by introducing them to new skills and gave them scholarship to higher institutions.
Leke Abejide is a God-fearing man his own kind of politics is different and special. He believes in power rotation, amongst the three Senatorial district in Kogi State the Igala from the East as govern for about not less than nineteen years while in the central the Ebira where Yahaya Bello comes from is rulling for 8years so it's now the turn of the people of Kogi west of Okun extraction of the state to be given the opportunity to govern, for equity, fairness and justice.
