The 28-year-old is aiming to set a world record for the longest distance crossed on foot.
'Wene' has left Lagos for Port Harcourt and will cover a total distance of 606 kilometres.

A young Nigerian, Promise Wosu Junior has embarked on a marathon mission in an attempt to write his name in the famous Guinness Book of Records.

The determined man, known as 'Wene', is aiming to set the world record for the longest distance covered on foot by running from Lagos to Port Harcourt.

The 28-year-old will cover a total distance of 606km in a marathon spread across six states of Nigeria, ending in the Rivers State capital in five days.

Promise Junior took off from the famous Toll Gate in Lekki at 4am on Tuesday, October 17 and is billed to arrive in Port Harcourt City on Saturday, October 21.

According to him, the dream is about to become a reality with hard work and persistence.

The aspiring record-setter added that he is desperate to set a milestone of 'impossibilities, passion, determination, consistency, patience, and focus'.

More than eight hours after his departure, Wosu Junior shared photos of his arrival in Ogun State.

As fans continue to anticipate his next stop, Wene has also disclosed that while all protocols are observed, his real-time location will not be disclosed for security reasons.

One of his media coordinator, Justice Ori said the mission is possible and the city of Port Harcourt is already set to receive their own at the Rivers State Government House on Saturday, 21st October, 2023.

Hope he has done this marathon once or twice before inviting Guiness World Records?

You don't just set out on a marathon race when you've not tested your strength and ability to run for long distance

A bicycle would be a better option. That is a lot of mileage. Fulani herders use bush paths. I hope he has those in mind. Make we see how far.

Hello Justice Ori, you COPIED this post from a platform. The writer must have made efforts to put this together. The only little thing you should have done is to credit Sports Brief.
